The Indigenous People of North America have decided to go back to calling the Gulf of Mexico, “Chalchiuhtlicueyecatl”. It is what the Nahuatl People originally called it as it is the domain of the goddess Chalchiuhtlicue, who is assoc w/water bodies, including the Gulf of Mexico.

A cartoon of birds in front of a chalkboard showing the flightlines of a murmuration. The caption below reads: The important thing is to make it look like we haven't spent months rehearsing it.
We now know that starlings are only in contact with their nearest 6 or 7 neighbours within a murmuration, their seemingly unified movement the work of a massive ripple affect. But the scene below is also a distinct possibility...
Either way, do keep an eye our for this extraordinary spectacle! 2/2
