@neilhimself.neilgaiman.com what you and Terry did with Good Omens was phenomenal. I so want more. I do hope a season 3 happens, but any thoughts of using what you spoke about to make it towards a book form?

Everything is very complex. This world is not simple. And I find it interesting what we chose to give empathy to as a group. How easily we turn away at some times and not at others. With me it’s the mental illness innit? And I don’t have much choice. So I just find other humans choices interesting.
I think it’s amusing the first tweet I saw today was Good Omens TV fandom complaining about the Good Omens book not being enough like the show/spending too much time going off on tangents/not having enough Crowley/Aziraphale. It’s a silly thing I got annoyed by but what a blessing to still be alive.
Fart in a bath. Well. It started nicely at least.
Oooo found one with a promising opening. Okay I’ll download and dip my toes in.
And not to be super weird because I know what fanfic is for….but they’re too focused on Crowley and Aziraphale. Other things need to happen.
They’re all failing on the opening. The opening is so important. And it has to be BIG yet open. It has to be a huge statement but not overly specific. Am I talking myself into writing a fanfic? I hope not. I really want to get this pilot nailed before December.
But ya girl is hella depressed so for the very first time ever I am actually looking for a decent Good Omens fanfic. And though I super duper believe people really try very hard so far I’m coming up with nothing up to par. I hope this changes quick.
I think what Neil and Terry did was exceptional. And though I’ve liked some of Terry’s works and some of Neil’s works, I truly believe Good Omens was lightning in a bottle. Thus I find it so hard to believe anyone can really mimic their work.
David Tennant was genuinely so good in Good Omens 2.
People are nuckin
Basically what I was saying. Stop going to Neil Gaiman for petty fandom drama. This is so gross. And I know Neil is fairly fandom savvy, but (God help me for saying this) he doesn’t know the levels of fandom like say Mark Gatiss. And its all so very icky.
In happier fandom news I’m so happy with the level of love given to the fans of our flag means death without it going too far. It’s been such a beautiful blessing and wonderful balance. Genuinely watched every episode thinking “wow this is good” and that was such a wonderful experience.
I do find as I’m getting older than where as before I used to be a “no fandom can turn me off a thing” and I truly do believe that no fandom can turn me off a thing…fandom can make you …a bit…leery of being too involved with a thing. Fandom also includes sports fandoms.
Stupid but this is also why I’m protective of this username. It carries no cache imo but I don’t want someone tweeting from a handle I love saying shit like “people who ship Crowley and Muriel are sick pedophiles” which is a fun thing happening in the Good Omens fandom right now.
Neil Gaiman accidentally adding to the weird fandom fire of Muriel and Crowley is something I wish would stop happening. I mean it’s obviously people crossing a line and involving him because they just want to be right. But it’s just so silly overall.
I feel like all the Covid conscious people are still on Twitter. I need those people around to balance all the other people I’m around who are like “wait Covid is still a thing? I don’t think so.”
It’s still embarrassing that I had such …let’s call it “stress” …from prior tv shows that my husband clocked the romance in Good Omens 1.1 and it took me until 1.3 and even THEN it took me to almost the very end of the cold open.
I clearly remember my eyes going o.O. And I said “Wait a minute.”
Currently watching: Cassandro. Wonder if I can finish it before work starts in 30 minutes?
Trans issues are all our issues and anyone who doesn’t understand this is a short-sighted bigot.
We know, right?
We know that the way we treat trans people is both fucking disgusting AND a very very dead canary in a fascism mine.
Right?

It’s just awful. And I feel so much for JVN having to sit there through this horribleness from someone they definitely didn’t see as part of the problem before. I feel so bad for them. And just so disgusted.

It’s honestly time we had a conversation about Dax Sheppard and Kristen Bell.
To say I am disappointed is an understatement.
You actively support the views of who you spend your life with.
And this is the act of an awful person espousing bad faith arguments from bad sources.
That would be lovely.
Lol. Not trying to be an old but I do like non-frosted. It’s simpler. But I will definitely take frosted in a pinch.
We had to get cameras for our house because someone’s been doing something weird with our yard door. It’s interesting how they work. I got a whole ass package delivered and it never set off. But shake a leaf on a tree and it’s like hey you gotta see this.
Rude ears.
Oh no. We stand at an impasse. See the thing is I am one of those weird people that doesn’t like chocolate that often. Like it’s a once in a blue moon thing for me. So the s’mores are good but I really like the strawberry ones the best.
I followed someone yesterday and then it seemed for 14 hours all they posted about was how they’re an annoying person to follow. Ma’am it doesn’t take that much to get me to unfollow you. Just say something like “I don’t think pop tarts are good” and it’s over for me. Don’t take too much.

Getting Covid isn’t a moral failing. But it’s so weird to see people say “we are so cautious. I don’t know how we got Covid” when literally two posts down is photos of them maskless at an indoor concert, maskless at a theater, and eating at a restaurant. Your choices are yours but “cautious?”
