Agreed, Silo is a decent snack while we wait for the next Severance meal course.
It feels a bit like that odd uncle you wished you didn't more time with passed.

Apple TV only has my business because of this show.

Jimmy Carter, a visionary on ending fossil fuels, put solar panels on the White House. Big Oil-backed Ronald Reagan ousted Carter in 1980 and ripped them out
Tonight, as Carter lies in in state in the Capitol, a climate-fueled wildfire is destroying Reagan's former hometown of Pacific Palisades
I'm already laden with the background anxiety of having ADHD. My nervous system is on high alert nonstop anyway.
Still, that said, my rules of engagement with this administration will be: No.
They're won't on it, calm down. 😆
I'm afraid to open the door to duck husbandry, for fear of it overtaking my life. But they're so delightful, even when they're scary af.
Black and white photo of a ginger tabby kitten sleeping in front of an old rabbit ear tv, with another, darker kitten asleep lying against him.
Hiii using this new photo from my collection to sneak in a non-cat message:
I’m seeing a lot of vile language being used against sex workers right now because of the rise in porn bots. The problem here is BOTS, not sex workers. 🧵
RIP OldFlickr
Y'all are doing a great job. It's the last I can do to block the bots while you ready between waves.
I just....
It never occurred to me to even consider doing that.
Tim Walz just capped prescription copays for Minnesotans at $25. In case Donold wants suggestions for his “concepts of a plan.”

Today's afternoon adulting is filling out my advance health care directive wishes. The hardest part is finding sufficiently binding legal language to forbid my mother from ever making any decisions on my behalf.
Oh wow, hope the people staying there are able to go someplace warm.
The censorship algorithm on Twitter reduced our audience by roughly 95%, and seriously, who does that to a wildlife biology & advocacy group ?

I am in advertising-adjacent field, and the work climate is similarly in disarray. And even at the micro-level of my work teams, there's a lot of hand-wringing about uncertainty. I can handle uncertainty, but I don't tolerate helplessness well.
Defiantly
There's also the extra stress of return to office today for a lot of workers who were enjoying WFH arrangements.
Sounds like the reverse frustration for then the little old ladies are chatting with cashiers or writing out checks by hand.

They see your deeds

In 1979, Jimmy Carter installed solar panels on the White House. In 1986, Ronald Reagan tore them down along w/Carter’s clean energy funding.
This sums up the difference between the two men & political parties. Investing in solutions for the future vs canceling progress to score political points.
Preserving my comment from another thread about coasting the disabled in our lives and work. From crafting policy to designing and building real world experiences, we will all eventually need accessibility and accommodation.
We are all only temporarily abled, since aging comes for us all. And so many people benefit from accessibility measures, we're helping everyone when we build toward an accessible and accommodating world.
Great bipartisan legislation idea for the new congress:
Pass universal free breakfast and lunch in public schools.
It would cost less than one percent of what the federal government spends on education.
No hungry kids. No stigma. Higher morale. Better grades.
It's a no-brainer.
