Genuinely I do not know why my brain malfunctioned so hard.
I misread this so badly, I thought you were saying your neighbors were shedding and needed help. Like reptiles or something.
The nature of the internet is sometimes someone you've never spoken to in your life will come out of nowhere just to be mad at you.
We probably need to make a support group at this point.
You deserve better.
I want to reiterate that if you are a former NSP author or suspect you would like to become a former NSP author, I'm happy to chat on whatever platform you are most comfortable with.
Is anyone else having a glitch where they're getting phone notifications from bluesky like 3x in a row?
Okay but what is the rest of the series about? Book two is called Daughter of the Sun. It’s about Orsina of Melidrie, a paladin who is big on killing evil things with her sword but not so big on critical thinking. It is also about Aelia, who is a chaos goddess without any followers. When Orsina mistakes Aelia for a young woman escaping an abusive family, she offers to escort her to safety and Aelia is like, “Um okay?” They have adventures and kill a monster shark and fall in love while Orsina repeatedly fails to identify Aelia’s true nature.
“Wow that sounds so interesting. What happens after that?” Book three, The Queen of Rhodia, is about Princess Esofi and Princess Adale enjoying married life until Esofi's terrible mother turns up in Ieflaria to be terrible. Orsina and Aelia show up too, but they’re not terrible, they’re the best part of the whole thing. Now Esofi needs to make peace with the dragons who have hated her species for hundreds of years and also punch her mom in the face. In book four, The Empress of Xytae, Crown Princess Ioanna is next in line to rule Xytae, which is an empire and not the name of a prescription medication. But when the emperor finally dies, Ioanna’s younger sister declares herself his heir and forces her out of the palace. Joining her on her army-raising adventure of justice is Princess Vitaliya of Vesolda, who has absolutely no idea what is going on at any given time.
Book five, Daughter of the Moon, is about Ioanna’s younger sister, Netheia, who has been banished to Ieflaria for her throne-stealing antics. She meets a university student named Klavida, whose hobbies are studying obscure magic and not wanting anything to do with Netheia. Klavida’s disdain for Netheia’s behavior sort of makes Netheia want to become a better person but unfortunately Netheia has an evil goddess bent on world domination screaming in her brain. Book five and a half (I guess?) is Gods of Inthya, an anthology of short stories each centered around one of the Inthyan gods. It’s a fun collection that explores parts of the world we don’t see in the main series! Book six, The Princess of Domeysil, only exists on my Patreon right now, but it centers around Princess Esybele of Rhodia (Esofi’s youngest sister) and Naquila of Domeysil (an elf!) and their efforts to prevent the apocalypse.* *Remember what I said about the nature of the world being slowly revealed over several books? This is when it all comes to a climax.
Books will be rereleased as quickly as I can afford to do so. It will be highly dependent on sales and I might have to do a little bit of crowdfunding, especially to afford the audiobooks. In the meantime, I am going to try to boost my republishing fund by releasing a brand new novella on my Patreon. It’s set during the events of The Queen of Rhodia, and explores what happened to Lisette after she vanished from the narrative for like 200 pages. If you subscribe to me on Patreon, I will send you the out of print ebooks so that you can enjoy the new story with full context! If you’d prefer not to support on Patreon, or aren’t able to do so at this time, that’s totally fine! Other ways you can help are by boosting my silly social media advertisements so I can reach a wider audience. Thank you for sticking with me during this awkward time!

Tales of Inthya Masterpost Hi! My name is Effie, and I’m the author of Tales of Inthya, which is a high fantasy series set in a queernormative world centered around several different sapphic couples with unpronounceable names. The books have been out of print since 2024 and I am slowly re-releasing them with new cover art and edits and bonus content. The first book (pictured here) is available in print, ebook, and audiobook format. Book two should be out by summer 2026.
They used to look like this! (There are six book covers, the now out of print Tales of Inthya books) However, I no longer have the rights to these covers! That’s okay though because I found a great artist to do new ones!
The first book in the series, The Queen of Ieflaria, is about Princess Esofi of Rhodia and Crown Princess Adale of Ieflaria. “Are all your proper nouns this bad?” YES!!!!!!! THAT’S GENRE FANTASY, BABEY!!!!!!!!! Anyway, Princess Esofi has been engaged to Crown Prince Albion since basically forever. But she’s never met him because they live on different continents, just like you and all your mutuals. Esofi and all six hundred of her ballgowns travel to Ieflaria for the wedding, but when she gets there it turns out the prince recently died in a tragic plot contrivance. Now she’s got to marry Albion’s younger sister, the new Crown Princess Adale. The world runs on video game rules when it comes to romance and sexual orientation* so this isn’t a big deal. Except Adale doesn’t want to rule the kingdom or marry a stranger because she’s afraid her undiagnosed learning disorder will lead the kingdom to ruin. Also there are dragons. *The reason why the world works this way is slowly revealed over the course of the series.

Book time!!! Purchase links: linktr.ee/effiecalvin
It is set during the events of book 3, and if you didn't manage to read that before it went out of print, I will send it to you if you're a subscriber.
I'll send you the whole series, probably.
Dark Flight, a Tales of Inthya novella, will be releasing on patreon.com/effie!
Many such cases.
Authors, I'm a bit late sharing this as I got distracted after seeing it on discord, but sharing for anyone who distributes paperbacks via Ingram Spark (directly, via Amazon's expanded distribution, or via Draft to Digital.)
TQOI got a lot of reviews, but this one is my favorite.
Marketing a book as an extremely awkward anxious introvert is difficult enough as it is, but having to come onto social media to do it and seeing the awful, ugly, hateful things that the various algorithms shove in my face makes it even worse.
the pages i posted earlier were white and the page i posted just now is yellowish. this is because. the sun went away.
A little peek at some of the new content in The Queen of Ieflaria.
This book has sparkles in it jsyk
Anything else? It would be cool if you bought it because I spent a lot of time on it and I think its a lot of fun so maybe you will like it. There’s other books in the series too. Each is a stand-alone because I hate cliffhangers. They are all about sapphic couples going on adventures and wearing fancy dresses and doing magic and falling in love. But there is also an overarching storyline that unfolds over six books. Can I buy the other books? Not right this second, they are out of print, but I am working on rereleasing them as fast as I can! Okay love you bye!!!!!!!!!!
I don’t think two princesses are allowed to get married? no they totally are it’s cool, it’s like Skyrim the gods are cool with it the gods are cool in general and definitely not hiding anything incredibly scary or serious don’t worry about that they can even have kids bc there’s a magic ritual to trans your gender this world is super convenient and there’s definitely nothing scary trying to breach the walls of reality not in this book, anyway So are they gonna kiss???? I DON’T KNOW I GUESS YOU HAVE TO READ THE BOOK AND FIND OUT yeah they’re gonna kiss spoilers I guess
Hey wait stop scrolling I have a thing to show you! Do you ever wish for a sapphic princess romance set in a queernormative world full of dragons and magic where everyone has a stupid unpronounceable high fantasy name? You do? Really? That’s so weirdly specific. Anyway, I have a book for you to read or possibly just buy and add to your TBR pile and forget about! Either way is fine with me.
Here is a list of places you can buy this thing if you are so inclined: linktr.ee/effiecalvin
Yes, I'm looking forward to getting it edited properly! The only thing slowing me down is the cost.
And I apologize if I advertise too much, too! I'm kind of trying to find a balance with it.
As always, I am so appreciative to everyone who reposts or interacts with my silly marketing attempts. Self-pubbing has been difficult and expensive and sales have been... underwhelming. Support from real people makes a difference!
