My parents had a tree taken down a couple weeks ago. My wife and I spent a few hours cleaning the debris from their yard today. After we finished I had a hard cider then crashed in a chair for a couple hours. Phew. Yard work season is here. So is hard cider season.

I've been using CachyOS with Cinnamon for a few weeks, and the default setup leaves a bit to be desired. I made a silly script to install missing packages and to make my desktop a bit Mintier.

It's interesting that I purchased a used mobile workstation (laptop) and it's still got the same issues with modern Linux distros that it had when it came out, and I'm reading 10 year old forum posts to troubleshoot.
