PayPal mandatory passkey enrollment

Amazon's not doing it for me right now (maybe it was an a/b test?) but for me when i log into paypal I get this modal with no close/cancel option

My assumption also is that once I link a passkey to my Amazon account I'll need that specific one to log in now and I'll get locked out when that device dies or gets lost. I don't trust random websites to handle multiple devices correctly, my password manager works fine
