The latest tally from Global Witness is a grim ledger. The organization’s report reads less like an activist’s briefing than a casualty list of a slow-moving war.
Since 2012, the total no. of deaths and disappearances tally at least 2,253, a toll that turns acts of stewardship into mortal hazards.
