Oooh the overnight precipitation sounds like it might work I think we’ll give it a go! We have a few other samples we’re trying to get out this week so we’re just trying to get something clean enough to send off 🙏. Agreed re:failed run but still not sure what else we did to that cursed sample. 🤣

Nothing crazy! Just wanting to sequence & annotate the phage genome. We’ve had sequencing runs fail when we ignored some of those warning messages (oops). 🥲 I don’t think we currently have an account set up with Plasmidsaurus but would be interested in that in the future. 👀 Thanks for the recc!

Hey #microsky ! 😊 I’m currently troubleshooting some phage DNA extraction woes with our undergrads. We use phenol-chloroform-isoamyl and phase-lock gels for the process but we’re still getting high 260/230 after elution. 🙇🏻‍♀️ Any advice/suggestions on DNA clean up would be much appreciated!
