This is the inevitable endpoint of one of the truly unifying political projects of the 2010s: ensuring that comically bigoted far right crackpots should decide what is and is not racist, a thing almost the entire political/class bent their will towards.

Totally fine that large parts of the British government are jumping into bed with a company whose public statements are "we are, at a fundamental level, absolutely batshit crazy neofascists".

"During the Vietnam War... ...every respectable artist in this country was against the war. It was like a laser beam. We were all aimed in the same direction. The power of this weapon turns out to be that of a custard pie dropped from a stepladder six feet high."

I'm gonna be honest I think it's probably bad that we're trying to give this extremely obviously nazi company all of our health data.

Extremely normal and fine for a company to put this in a public statement

Except they're not opposing renewables. They're opposing us flogging off still more of our natural resources to rent seeking overseas capital. And we can all click on the article to read this

And since these guys are the super sensible clever clogses, surely that should be important.

I mean, disagree if you like. Say why it's daft if you think it's daft. Take the piss. Go for your life. But why lie about it? Sure it fits a new narrative (the Greens are abandoning core principles) that replaces the old one (they're single issue weirdoes), but it doesn't engage with anything.

Seen this one shared with a smug, 'hur hur hur - the Greens are against renewables now,' from people I used to follow who I'm sure think of themselves as sceptical and into evidence-based politics and...it just doesn't say that.

We’ve shitehoused the most obviously horrible people in our party into power via fraud, lying and nakedly corrupt gamesmanship, by mistake

strange these op-eds about women being too angry have all come out the last few days when during the same time there's also been a massive investigation published on an online rape academy with millions of viewers a month and none of them have bothered to even cover it, even as news

The Mandelson affair, including the frankly non credible account of the last 24 hours, is a case study in how off the ranch Westminster is.
There's a reason the public is so pissed off with politics. Politicians seem hellbent on justifying that anger.

"The rise of extreme wealth is one of the clearest signs of this imbalance. In 1987, billionaires held wealth equal to 3% of global GDP. Today this tiny elite, just 0.0001% of the world population, owns the equivalent of *16%* of world GDP in wealth."

Erik Estrada - Martial Arts History wiki

I had read somewhere that Estrada actually took up karate after this, bit it turns out he has an 'honorary black belt'.

Guess how many times this Spiked piece - which blames Orban’s loss on ‘identity politics’ and ‘therapy culture’ - mentions that Furedi is literally working for Orban?

SP's 'inappropriate' school sex education could be ripped up by parents under Tory plans
Gender ideology is still being taught in secondary schools, and the SNP tried to force councils to ask teenagers about anal sex, with plans for parent panels being put forward by the Scottish Conservatives.

Do you notice how the gender-critical “women’s rights” movement fills in precisely for the hysterical religious reactionary and far right crackpot groups of the past? Here, seen squealing in terror about sex education and up-the-bum in a way reactionary groups have done for fifty years at least.

Wild that Altman is being sued by his sister for repeated sexual abuse and that doesn’t come up in basically every conversation about him. I get that it’s alleged but if that shit was happening to someone else I feel like that would come up, particularly if that person had a history of lying a lot.

She was out once, and I convinced my dad to put it on for a bit, thinking it would be naughty and hilarious, like Kenny Everett but better. It was shit.

Victoria is one of the best of her cohort IMO and here she is, reduced to stammering like a red-handed crook in front of a fascist crackpot, entirely because the system she speaks for is so brazenly bent and disgusting.
