Seeing President Obama and Mayor Mamdani reading to kids and singing "The Wheels on the Bus," while doing all the hand gestures is a reminder that they are human.

Screenshotted excerpt from linked article reading as follows:

"In public, Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. has cultivated a reputation for care and caution. The papers reveal a different side of him. At a critical moment for the country and the court, the papers show, he acted as a bulldozer in pushing to stop Mr. Obama’s plan to address the global climate crisis.

When colleagues warned the chief justice that he was proposing an unprecedented move, he was dismissive. “I recognize that the posture of this stay request is not typical,” he wrote. But he argued that the Obama plan, which aimed to regulate coal-fired plants, was “the most expensive regulation ever imposed on the power sector,” and too big, costly and consequential for the court not to act immediately."

Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell could not have sold children for sex without rich perverts buying them for sex. I feel this needs to be emphasized much more than it is.

I love how everyone is acting like Zohran Mamdani talking in Mario Kart metaphors is somehow unbelievable. He's 34... you know bro has a ride or die favorite Pokemon type and is up to his eyeballs in debt to Timmy and Tommy.

I normally wouldn’t be rooting for One Knoxville, but this week I’m Team Cupset. I hope they give DC United a run for their money. #usopencup

AOC: Whether it’s people in the Epstein files still roaming free, or the president, a known rapist, continuing to occupy the White House, all of this has contributed to the normalization and the idea that incidents of harassment shouldn’t matter.

And I think today was an important turning point

Trump Destroyed Leigh Wambsganss' Brand Even More Quickly Than He Did the Kennedy Center's - emptywheel On Sunday, Trump twice tried to disavow what a loser he is. But Texas Republicans are no longer buying it.

Because people are taking Trump's disavowal of interest in Orbán's loss as if it were true, reupping this piece on his attempt to disavow Leigh Wambsganss' loss in February.

From EARTHSEED: THE BOOKS OF THE LIVING

Choose your leaders

with wisdom and forethought.

To be led by a coward

is to be controlled

by all that the coward fears.
To be led by a fool

is to be led

by the opportunists

who control the fool.

To be led by a thief

is to offer up

your most precious treasures

to be stolen.
To be led by a liar

is to ask

to be told lies.

To be led by a tyrant

is to sell yourself

and those you love

into slavery.

Man was wounded by ICE officers more than half a dozen times, attorney says Carlos Ivan Mendoza Hernandez says officers were shooting before he moved his car, according to his lawyer, while DHS said Mendoza Hernandez "weaponized his vehicle."

Federal immigration officers shot a man six times during a traffic stop. They say he weaponized his car. Video suggests he at worst was trying to flee, and he says he was fleeing after they'd already started shooting. So far, they've been shown to have lied after nearly every one of these incidents.

Me to my game devs: You need to rest. You need to have downtime and work-life balance. You need to set boundaries for yourself and be a human outside work.

My brain: Not you, though.

Me: Oh, God, of course not me. Haha. Can you imagine?

If an outcome of them voting for him two years ago means they don’t vote this year because they either realize their judgement is impaired, they’re embarrassed, or there aren’t any candidates that trip their trigger, I’d consider that a net positive outcome.
