A watercolour study from a trip to Egypt Lake! Next time Iβll go a little lighter with the sketch. This was right before the thunderstorm rolled in! β‘οΈ
A break in a thunderstorm. The Monarch Ramparts.
I spent some time scanning in studies from my watercolour sketchbooks the other weekend. The left is from a trip to the Tonquin Valley. On the right is a hill on the way to Nigel Pass.
Another mountain. Kananaskis β€οΈ
When taking Eric on his first backpacking trip, we woke up to a frosty morning. Those muted cool colours before the sun came up were perfect. Hated the cold - worth the views?
Zorn palette studies! Limited color palette using Yellow Ochre, Cad Red, Ivory Black, and Titanium White.
I little study of Floe Lake. This place has the prettiest sunrises ever! At night you can hear the cracking of the glacier echoing off the walls.
Another painting just up from where the last one was - up at Lake Oesa.
Thank you ! π
Iβve been doing some painting when I can find time. I love doing studies from the places Iβve hiked to. This pool was the same colour as blue Gatorade. In the back is Yukness Mountain.
Thank you!! π₯°

Not this year. I was going to skip this year entirely to wait out tariff uncertainty, but then was invited to do a Christmas pop up. Iβm hoping to bring them back next year with some new designs!
Finished my Christmas Ornaments for a pop up this weekend at Campland in Calgary!
