Dont download it in the first place to be safe, BUT dont blindly trust “trustworthy” looking mod packs :)

People are getting invited to Minecraft servers that use CurseForge/Modrinth mods to install malware when you connect. They also use can mutual friends lists to fake who is “playing” on the server with them!!!
