Sunrise over the Mersey

A seat with a view
Good Morning from Eastham Country Park
And an old favourite Port Sunlight
Bluebells and trees on the Levers path
….
Few from my ride home this evening,
Ship rolling past down the Mersey,
….
Good Morning (Eastham Country Park)
A Choppy River Mersey this afternoon coming home from work
Bristol exposed that, took the chances and the points,
Things are very scary now, Tranmere just one point above relegation with just 3 games left,
Tranmere Rovers v Bristol Rovers
EFL League Two
18/04/26
Plenty of effort had a go and matched most of the time the most inform team in League Two,
Sadly no finish and no luck, the injury to Lee O’Connor the turning point for me, his replacement just not good enough
The visitors who needed to win their remaining two games to survive relegation came back with 3 goals from Freddie Steven’s (25), Jordyn Fitton (42) and Callum Evans (50) to take the pionts, they need to beat bottom club Haughmond on Tuesday to beat the drop
Lairds finish the season in 12th place
Cammell Laird v Alsager Town
NWCFL Division One South

A disappointing final game of the season for Lairds despite getting off to a good start with an own goal after 10 minutes putting the home side ahead,
Nice afternoon ride through Eastham Woods on my way for the late shift in work
An unlucky defeat I thought but the dismal run continues and still no goal under the new management of Pete Wild 5 games ago 🙈
Tranmere Rovers v Colchester United
EFL League Two
06/04/26
My second game of the day right on the back of the Lairds/Ashville derby,
Much improved performance from what I’ve seen recently at Prenton Park, but sadly won the same amount of points, 0
and left our Wallasey friends singing the blues despite scoring a cracker at the start of the second half, in front of a bumper crowd of 262
Well in the 🐪’s
Cammell Laird v Ashville
NWCFL Division One South
06/04/26 (Part One)
Lairds took the honours in the Wirral Derby in the first of two games for me today,
Two first half penalties converted by Ben Wood gave Rock Ferry boys the honours
5,6 Old Chester Road
Using AI to colourise and sharpen up,
Here’s some Rock Ferry shots from the past
1 Wycliffe Street,
2 Old ticket office Rock Ferry Station
3 Birkenhead Corporation bus heading into Grove Road,
4 Holy Family Convent Demolition
Cammell Laird v Runcorn Town
NWCFL Division One South
25/03/26
Tough night for Lairds against the runaway leaders who took their goals well to take the points,
Could of been so different after Eaton hit the post in the 16th minute,
Plus Holt Hill and the Old Chester Road, (the church means I’m nearly home)
Views from the top of Holt Hill,
Cheers

Who knew at the time this was the beginning of TV dictating as to when games are played, at the time it seemed exciting now it does match going fans heads in,
For the record Tottenham won 2.1
Tottenham v Nottingham Forest this afternoon,
Who remembers back in the day when this was the first live league game shown on TV,
The Big Match Live aired 2nd October 1983,
This playing football on a Saturday just might catch on, 😜
Well in the blue boys on and off the pitch

Everton v Chelsea

Boss day, boss company, boss match,
Had a great day topped by Everton’s best home performance of the season, a proper statement win, first time the stadium felt like home, atmosphere was fantastic,
