It's been quiet, and part of that is that I forgot to mention that I'm doing #NaNoWriMo this year, and I'm already over 20,000 words in. I won't have a sharable story by the end but the experience has already changed the way I think about writing projects.

That makes a lot of sense. Depending on backstory, education in Garlemald is probably a lot more advanced and consistent overall than in Eorzea. Kei was actually illiterate until her late 20's. She managed by learning to recognize important symbols on hunting bills without knowing what they say 😆
