Gaza City officially in famine, says global hunger monitor Gaza City and surrounding areas are officially suffering from famine, and it will likely spread, a global hunger monitor determined on Friday, an assessment that will escalate pressure on Israel to allow more aid into the Palestinian enclave.

Leading global experts just confirmed what we’ve long known: Gaza is in famine. At least half a million Palestinians are facing starvation, acute malnutrition and death. And it’s likely to spread.

The U.S. government is not a bystander to this genocide. We can end it today.

Epstein Is Only the Tip of the Iceberg: The Trump Protection Machine and the Epidemic of Violence Against Women On July 2, the jury delivered a guilty verdict on some of the charges against music mogul Sean Combs for his decades of horrific sexual abuse of women with the help of his extensive staff and deep poc...

"One of the reasons the epidemic of violence against women is so unacknowledged is because cases like these are talked about individually, and often treated as though they are shocking aberrations rather than part of a pervasive pattern that operates at all levels of society."

This is NOT just cutting access to abortion. It’s limiting access to CANCER screening, birth control, screening for sexually transmitted infections.

In a dissenting opinion, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson wrote, “Today’s decision is likely to result in tangible harm to real people.”

Young Joon Kwak’s Luminescent Bodies The artist’s magnificent, rhinestone-encrusted cast sculptures tell multiple stories that look at contemporary queer and trans existence.

The permanence of the works in “RESISTERHOOD” at the Leslie-Lohman Museum contrasts with the realities of the transitioning body that Young Joon Kwak has cast, which, as the exhibition text notes, exists in “states of emergence and indeterminacy.”

Be very aware that America is now a fascist state where political opposition and citizens are kidnapped and disappeared for exercising their human and constitutional rights.
It is no longer business as usual no matter how much the media and people want to pretend otherwise.

It’s a witchy and magical vibe. We have been meeting at each other’s studios for the past several years, and we’ve seen so many connections in our creative work, that we decided to show together & see what happens when we put it all together.

How a Tiny Crab Museum in the UK Stood Up For Trans Rights Leaning on its expertise in biology, the museum said that “there are no binaries in nature” and called the recent anti-trans ruling “an abuse of science.”

International Crab Day is April 26, so there’s no better time to put some respect on the Crab Museum in Margate for its unwavering public support for trans rights after the UK Supreme Court ruled that a woman is defined by “biological sex” rather than gender identity.

The only way to interpret this is that the Trump administration is trying to close public schools.

Which has been an open goal of conservatives for decades. They want to privatize education to resegregate on race and gender. And to ensure some people can’t access education at all.
