I'd go further.
If you want a country that treats everyone equally before the law, makes everyone pay fair taxes with no special deals for rich "investors" and want honest leaders who aren't stealing billions from us, then never vote Republican again.
Create another conservative party we can trust.

As a former exec responsible for IT, the security of voting machines is beyond terrible. They refuse to let independent audits of their software because it's "proprietary". They get software updates via the internet (!!) prior to elections and after. Just a few votes per precinct can swing a state.
Texas Republicans might have severely overestimated Latino support in their redistricting maps.
I think the underlying voter sentiment in VA tonight was Republicans were more fired up and had higher turnout than Dems who had mixed feelings about a gerrymander after so many years fighting it. So a comparison to the 2025 elections overestimated Dem turnout.
I mean that we can't trust either of the two main vendors now. If I'm missing your point, let me know.
Patrick Henry tried redrawing James Madison's district in 1788.
Governor Gerry of Massachusetts was politically attacked for it in 1811.
Fun fact: the first gerrymander in U.S. history occurred in Virginia when Patrick Henry tried to draw James Madison out of his congressional district
Ukrainian hackers disrupted a closed-door meeting at Russia’s Industry Ministry, exposing reliance on Chinese drone components.
Leaked audio shows officials admitting that 90% of key components are foreign-made, revealing deep dependence on China.

A whistleblower is about to tell all regarding insider trading within the Trump admin.
If this happens and she has the proof, Trump, Barron, Eric and Don Jr will go down.
If you were moved, as I was, by this righteous display of patriotism and moral purpose, consider funding more of it!!!

51.36 Y - 48.64 N
2.72% winning margin
(close to but not final)
Always
Nope. Both major electronic ballot machine companies, ES&S and Dominion are now owned by rightwing billionaires.
The faster something fails, the cheaper the cost of the failure. The slower it fails, the harder it is to cut your losses. The same dynamic applies to the Iran war.
Cf. the Bezos Post, "Republicans gerrymandering in Texas is fine, actually" b/w "Democrats gerrymandering in Virginia is a threat to democracy"
51.36-48.34 right now on VA elections site
The Virginia state seal, which shows a bare breasted woman holding a spear and a sheathed sword standing over a dead king with the motto: “Sic semper tyannis”
If the remaining precincts have the same lead for Yes, that's another 50k votes advantage, which is another 2% of the statewide vote putting Yes to win by 3% ish.
No one will trust us again when we have Republicans running the country.
When Dems retake power, no one will trust our country unless it's clear the Republicans can't return to power.
Dems need clear accountability on Republicans for all the destruction they've caused so they never retake power.
YES is slightly behind right now (by a 1.3 point margin), but the blue areas left to report (Fairfax, Richmond, and some Norfolk) should outweigh the red areas left and push YES over the top
It's not "our own government". It's the Republicans enabling Trump.
Make it clear who's to blame.
The comparison of margin % is important, but we also need turnout compared to red counties. Red counties had a high turnout so how much of a drop off do we get for blue counties?
How is turnout in blue cities?

1. What’s the old saying about the definition of crazy? Doing the same thing over and over, and expecting different results, right? Well, that’s where we are with the president’s war against Iran. He’s clearly insane. The only question is when enough people figure it out.
It's not just the young. I was raised in the 50s and 60s to support Israel but the rightwing turn by Israel has lost my support.
Why the current "no" lead in Virginia's redistricting referendum is likely a mirage.
