Agreed. I also think that, regardless of who the candidate is, Patel/Bondi will open an investigation into that person in an attempt to tank their candidacy. If anything, it necessitates picking someone who people will rally around instinctually *more* (e.g. AOC) than someone more milquetoast

Agreed completely. It also plays into the narrative used against the Democrats that they are for the elites and don't fight for the regular folk. I'd rather them let the admin try to target these high profile people and face the backlash.
