Technofeudalism: What Killed Capitalism by Yanis Varoufakis
What we are living through right now is not a new form of capitalism but rather of serfdom - a technofeudalism.

My bus stop is right next to market square which is definitely ready to open and is currently being festooned in production lights.
In related news, I have taken off work Thursday and Friday because navigating this stop when the city doubles in size seems like a bad idea.
Every grocery I’ve been to today is completely packed like there’s snow on the forecast. Gotta get the toilet paper and milk before the NFL shows up.
A successful week at the theater #LastFourWatched #LetterboxdFriday
Love how everyone I know in Pittsburgh is treating the upcoming NFL draft basically the same as they treated the snowstorm.
What if I applied for an arts grant, but just so I can purchase a 100 year old letterpress off Facebook marketplace.
I feel like an old internet person when someone tells me about so and so that is on substack and I just think “oh, the website that platforms Nazis”
Listen sometimes, at 2 am when she’s standing on my throat I think…you could take hobi for $52. But not Yuri.
No
In my screening, by the middle people were pointing at the screen to point out the anomalies.
A tiny canvas with cyanotype, being nosed at by a cat
A tiny canvas made to look like a bed with two pillows and a quilt,
Today in art: tiny art for a local library silent auction. Yuri approves.
The college kids I work with are always like “oh but your lore drops” and I don’t think I really have lore but then I remember I once ran a Twitter account for an arcade machine that was frequently confused for a porn star and had to field a lot of confused, horny dudes.
A distant shot of several pieces of artwork on display.
A close up of one specific piece - a quilted tapestry of red and white squares that reads “fix your heart or die”
Exhibiting art on campus today.
Wait. You’re not in Pittsburgh.
…I mean I’d prefer bts but just the vibes are what I’m going for. And soonish.
What thrift in Pittsburgh (goodwill level, not curated) am I most likely to find band shirts. I’m cutting them up for a project, but that is the vibe I’m going for.
Buttons are the number one thing people ask me to teach them at work. This is a great looking repair.
A black and white square quilt with the center letters obscured by the body of a small cat
Hobi has never met an activity that she believes would not be improved with more cat.

Knock Knock Open Wide by Neil Sharpson
Generational trauma tied with Celtic mythology and children’s tv that shouldn’t work but it does.
It’s #LetterboxdFriday! Here’s my #LastFourWatched
There are a lot of people at this 9:40 showing of a film that came out two weeks or so ago, so maybe I just don’t understand the audience.
I am so glad a ton of theaters nearby are playing this Indian film I want to see but why are they all showing this 3.5 hour movie after 8 pm.
"Helena Eagen is Angela Deem."
@barelyconcealed.bsky.social explains the similarities between a Severance plot line and sex tourism:
Header for Amanda Hudgins' Unwinnable Monthly column The Guest, featuring a still from the show Severance picturing Helena and Mark looking at each other over Chinese food. Headline reads Female Sex Tourism & Severance.
"She wants to participate in that fantasy. She does. But like all trips, all vacations, you eventually must return home."
@barelyconcealed.bsky.social returns from hiatus to discuss Severance and it's portrayal of a kind of sex tourism.
Cover for the March 2026 cover of Unwinnable Monthly, featuring a cover by Nick Tofani inspired by the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. videogame series.
The March issue of Unwinnable Monthly has been out for about a week now, so let's see what's inside, yea?
But before that, marvel upon the cover by @nickeldoodle.bsky.social!

“Debate me bro,” I literally am not obliged to respond to you, complete stranger.
lol it’s fine I’ve had tougher opponents during GG on Twitter it’s just stupid and they’re always like “if you don’t debate me it’s proof that I’m smarter.” Cool. I think it’s proof I want to go to bed.
Every month or so some douchebag on Letterboxd makes me wish they had private accounts so I didn’t have to get abusive emails at 1 AM because I don’t think false rape allegations should be punished with capital punishment by a Saw villain.
I’m back! Check out this issue for me talking about the timely subject of sex tourism and Severance!
Thank you Japanese film festival for giving me an opportunity to see some cool stuff. #LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched
