The stages of editing footage of yourself:
1. Why do I sound like that?
2. Why do I keep doing that with my face?
3. Why do I BREATHE SO LOUD
You have great taste! <3 I liked VHS Beyond a lot also!
Is this the one with Raatma and Empty Wake? ICONIC!
Yeah, but sadly I lost all my year by year notes on slang, product releases and world events, must have been in a move
SERIOUSLY
I love this movie too. You and I are aligned, that "show me" scene is iconic and Arnie's evolution is incredible.
Recently did this for THE SPIRIT LIFT which takes place in 1998.
I switched to DuckDuckGo and turned AI features off, I was losing hours fighting AI to confirm facts
Wikipedia for dates when products were released
Watching 90s movies for what slang was popular then

Minor Update to THE SPIRIT LIFT!
Increased discoverability of evidence, new cards and other secrets. Plus we added accessibility and content notes to our Steam page.

When we asked our lead artist Audrey Twigg to design the trauma cards, she knew just what to do! After all, we were living so many of these feelings!

Sharing my research on "best way to teach non-gamer parents to play your game on Steam"
Top Learning:
They will tell you they are not looking at Steam in the browser.
They are definitely looking at Steam in the browser.
Steam logo was described "gear sprocket" and "goofy foot"

My main focuses are AR/VR, horror, education games and dance/rhythm. I earned my Ph.D. studying dance game gesture controls!
Also game mechanics research, tutorials, GDDs, UX, and running remote studios. Let me save you time and money!
Had an amazing #gamedev chat today with a potential new consulting client. I'm so glad I started doing part-time game design for other studios; I get to jump in and help with little pushes here and there so others can finish their games! β¨

Flashing back to a message about our VN Code Romantic: "There sure is a lot of dialogue in this game!"
Yeah... there sure is!
Oh we're working. But if I tell you, then I'd have to force you to playtest π
You probably figured out that Mossferatu was a parody of Nosferatu, but is that the only name reference you found in THE SPIRIT LIFT? π§

So happy for this team and loved seeing your name in the credits!

Editing a horror story for an upcoming deadline! It feels great to be writing again. I've always been better at crafting the story than the final prose on the page, but I can see my efforts paying off.

Congratulations on your launch! The game looks incredible, and it is clear how much love went into it! I hope your week is full of joy and pride in your accomplishment <3
Hey folks, for Trans Day of Visibility I am going to do another Indie #ShowCasey! πππ€ππ
Are you a trans gamedev? Reply below with your game, tell us a little about it, and make sure to include a link to the store page. Everyone else? Signal boost some neat games!
One rule: No GenAI!
It can never be said enough: trans rights are human rights! <3
Oh that's a great one to adapt!
That's right, thanks for the reminder! So cool that got picked up!
Ha, exactly! My email is also open to any film studios!
Happy Trans Day of Visibility π³οΈββ§οΈ
Our team, led by queer & trans folks, are working on a game that's a queer, trans, & heartfelt love letter to Cowboy Bebop called BITTER SILVER.
If you can, share this post & wishlist on Steam before we release later this year: store.steampowered.com/app/1906930/...
Is anyone else kind of excited about this indie horror games -> movies pipeline? Backrooms, Iron Lung, The Mortuary Assistant, Exit 8... any others I don't know about yet?

it's launch day!! :)
Can't wait for your thoughts <3
This!!! Especially when you're doing something text heavy with narrative and setting that requires a ton of context. Loc needs to be so carefully researched and budgeted for, and budgets are so tight these days as it is.
