Current status after a nice wash. We’re getting there! The lips are STILL being stubborn, but I’m determined. After she’s all clean, this girl’s getting some serious exfoliation.

Peep those lips! They’re like three shades lighter on the yellowing scale! A true frosted lip 🤣

Round two. For some reason acetone cannot dent that lip color… neither can volks eco remover. Only some serious medical rubbing alcohol!

The glue was rough, worse than Yuki’s.

My first round of wiping! This took… a long time. Not to mention the super strong bath @corgskee.bsky.social had to give her before she arrived to me! Thankfully her lashes removed in perfect shape.

I’ve had to do it for lots of my volks dolls, but the newer ones are easyish with a q tip. This though? It’s worse than my 21 yr old Yuki was! The glue is wild!

The volks thinner I have can’t touch D’s lip paint. Only straight rubbing alcohol can..

removing 20+ yr old glue is a form of torture I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.
