Two things I can’t stop laughing about:

2) I brought up Passover, and my kid told me that when she emailed a teacher in the fall to say she would be absent for Rosh Hashanah, he replied “feel better soon”
We rarely get to know for sure that our efforts towards change made a difference, just gotta have faith. But if you care about something, don’t let random internet people stop you. There is sooo much work to do, and so many organizations and candidates that would be thrilled to have help.
My point is you can’t get isolated depressed hopeless ppl to do shit & the already engaged do more when morale is up. The assumption that no one’s doing real work at or in between these protests is based on what? Lack of instant results? No stories about that on the oligarch news network?
Are there really folks questioning whether 8 million people coming together and finding joy or hope or community for a few hours in the midst of being terrorized and abused by their own fucking government counts as “making an impact”?
The fundamental problem isn't one of messaging, talking points, or compromise. It's the fact there are billions of dollars funding a massive propaganda machine targeting a tiny minority. That's what we need to dismantle through class solidarity to win.
Always happy to see Tram Nguyen, state rep & hopefully Nov. the first Asian American elected to Congress from MA. We need Reps who grew up low income & understand struggle, fight for real change. The kind of 🔥 that inspires hope & flips a district. An 8yr legislative track record to prove it💙
