The plan for this group ride was for my 7yo to ride their own bike.
However, temps were colder than expected (including a little hail & rain) and they decided they’d rather be cozy under 2 blankets in the @bunchbike.com .

In DC you can submit a 311 request (I prefer the website now that Twitter is the bad place and the 311 app is broken). Easy peasy, and one of the quicker and most satisfying requests you can do thanks to the amazing bike folks at DDOT! #BikeDC 311.dc.gov/citizen/s/

Today's cargo bike test ride is party was my favourite kind of event. So many big smiles and happy people riding bikes. I heard from people who left the event much closer to getting a cargo bike, and people who felt less weird or alone in their choice to bike with kids.

I took our 7yo & their best friend to the grocery store and park.
On our way home we spotted another @bunchbike.com, so I sped up so we could say hi to our bike twin (who I didn’t know).

But can you beat the all time record?? This person was definitely, 100% trying to max it out but also, we were in close touch throughout, received lots of photo & map evidence and can attest this is legit
Based on my historic e-bike data, I'd get ~$300-600 back with regular riding and not trying to max my miles.
Such a good challenge! We loved our Bunch Bike and would recommend.

* Giro Scamp XS for a very first helmet - it is the smallest, lightest option with the least bulk in the back for use with a toddler seat
* Ozmo Sidekick or Woom for kid helmets after that. Better front to back coverage = less sliding out of place. Comfy & cool

My 7yo & I joined @perennialcycle.bsky.social ‘s pastry ride.
Plan was for my kiddo to ride their own bike, but it was raining & a bit cold, so I kept their bike on the TowMonster of our @bunchbike.com & piled my kid with blankets to stay warm.
Cargo bikes are the best.
