I have yet to read those letters but I will one day! I recently received “The Maxims of Ptahhotep” as I mentioned before, I’m curious about pre-philosophical ideas so I’m excited to read this ancient text. But I often wonder how much has been lost in translation.. 🤔

I try to live my life, to that of a Stoic. It’s my favorite philosophy and has helped me grow the most. I still read from Meditations every so often or go back and look through my highlights.

Thales of Miletus (624–546 BCE) regarded as one of the Seven Sages of Greece is considered by many as the first western philosopher. While none of his works have survived many Philosophers such as Aristotle, Diogenes and many more have preserved information about his ideas and teachings #philosophy

Generally, we learn of the great Socratic contemporaries of Ancient Greece such as Socrates Plato and Aristotle but Philosophers aren’t just born over night. So my question is who was the first ever philosopher?

I created this account as I journey into philosophy. I’ll be talking about my studies and my thoughts. I hope to find others with a yearning for a deeper understanding of our mind and our connection with the universe around us. #philosophy
