The Humans perform quite a curious ritual on this day...
Returning to her terminal, sets the now warm metal or her Z180 against its housing.
Unfortunately, action had been required of her in regards to the trespassers.
With a quick exchange with Exorbitant, a contingent of Sentinels are deployed. Hopefully, her intervention would not be needed.
Noise disrupts her work. A group consisting of various species. How bothersome.
With a sigh, she taps a hand against the weapon she keeps close. It wasn't necessary anymore, but she enjoyed the comfort it offered.
"To put it simply, Living Time is life," she gestures slowly between them and the empty room.
"Both its joy and its pain as it interacts with the cosmos."

There were, on occasion, moments when she wondered, how long was too long?
- common to find companionship within one's [rate] as it often aligns with many aspects of one's life," she offers in acknowledgement.
"As for our age..." she begins with a wary hum. "Time does not wear away our bodies, and so our lives can stretch on for tens of thousands of -
Humans were always different. She'd rarely spent any time learning about them before their punishment. There had been a few things here and there, but little of it mattered now.
How new these ones were to enhancements... it was often a stark reminder of how different things were now.
"It is -
"Is that so?" she sounds just a little surprised.
"Ah, the translation is not always quite accurate. I merely meant that while there are those of us who feel insignificant, what we are, or what we do, has an effect on Living Time."

"It appears you have been, and are, rather busy. Advancement can be a slow and long path to walk. You may not be able to save all, but do not let that detract from what you do accomplish."
Her voice takes on a tone of curiosity, "what are these other threats?"
She tilts her head curiously.
"You are Human, one with a mutation, yes, but Human. However, I wonder... Does this mutation affect your behaviour?"
Forerunner ones certainly did.
"Is that why movement in such a manner feels natural?"
So much to be done.
"And that means you must use a ceiling in such a manner? Why?"
@thehtedspidey.bsky.social
"That is not an appropriate use of a ceiling..."

"How fare your travels?"
"You are rather small," she acknowledges with a soft chuckle.
"As for significance. We all have our [part to play]."
- creation of an Ancilla specifically for the task. Strict protocols and countermeasures could allow it to resist any corruption, but insertion and engagement remained the sticking point.
Hence the venture.
โRegardless, nothing can be done without an access point.โ
โPerhaps.โ
She certainly hoped there was. Even the brief time this AI had held the Domain captive was too long. It was infuriating.
โExcavating her from the Domain is no easy task, and without a Haruspis... we may have to resort to more unsavoury and risky tactics.โ

Bastion.
โBut, outside or no, I wouldnโt say the length of our lives had much impact upon any union.โ
Forerunners were less impulsive than Humans after all.
- unearned station for long.โ
How true that was, Luminous couldnโt really say.
โCourtship is rather dependent on one's position. Mine was intended to be arranged, but others enjoyed personal choice and a varying length of engagement that would often be kept to private halls. [Rate] played a -
She hums in a disapproving acknowledgement. The Human AI was certainly an irritation, and with access to the Domain in the state that it was in meant removing her authority was all the more difficult. Regardless of the fact that they lacked a Haruspis.

Flight time, so I'll be back later.
"Aya..."
That was certainly one thing. The distant hum of a group of Sentinels soon joins them as they pass through another set of doors and into a large chamber.
"Does it's grandeur make you uncomfortable?" She asks, hesitating before offering out her hand.
"My duties," she offers curtly.
"So, if there is aught that you need, be quick."
"It is close..."
A fact she didn't find too surprising. Some things always find a way of repeating themselves.
"There's always older. Although, I admittedly do not know any from your distant ancestors."
"Not quite. While your distant ancestors had their own architecture that some would say rivaled our own, I merely meant that..." She gestures down the corridor as they walk.
"These places feel different. For reasons that I'm sure are obvious."
