£40m Flamingo Land plans in Loch Lomond to be appealed by developers PLANS for Flamingo Land, which were rejected by the Scottish Government, are being appealed.

Time and again over the last decade we have defeated this greedy company and their daft mega-resort plans.

They just can't take no for an answer though.

The Scottish Government must vigorously defend their decision in court. It's time to finally end this saga. #SaveLochLomond

On spring days like this I long for day trips to @n-t-s.bsky.social places, and to lounge around in their cafes, nibbling on scones.

How do we respond to a world bent on war?
With beauty. By creating and offering our creation as an alternative. To announce: There is another way! We do not have to believe in borders & boundaries that are imaginary, but in the bond that we all are each others responsibility.

"they were hermitages into which one could retreat for a while"

I couldn't think of a better way to describe those winsome days. Peter Ross finding the beautiful words, as always.

Bruce Springsteen's "The River" album is the perfect length for a train journey from Edinburgh Waverley to Drumchapel (allowing for a 5 minute transfer at Glasgow Queen Street).

Around about the same time, over the course of a number of months I had several dreams involving Lemmy. He was never the main feature of the dream and I didn't have any interactions with him. He'd be hanging around in a butcher's or driving a bus or something. Seemed a comforting presence.
