Maryland's Montgomery County Council voted unanimously Tuesday to take a proactive anti-ICE stance, barring privately owned detention facilities. "We will not wait for an immigration detention facility to be proposed — we are ensuring it is never built in the first place," Councilmember Glass said.

Why should Alberta stay in Canada? The reasons aren’t just economic or legal. I hope you will read and share my robust rebuttal to those trying to break up our country. And I hope you’ll respond. #cdnpoli #Alberta #ableg #abpoli #Canada #SenateofCanada
I posted the growing prevalence of raw milk just two days ago. Here is a huge issue that underlies why people are opting for such dangerous practices. We need to do more to help people understand disinformation because the social media companies won’t remove disinformation at all
Honoured to be Bubble Pop’s final guest.
BENNET: Do you agree that 89% of children who died from flu were unvaccinated?
RFK Jr: I don't know the exact number
BENNET: That is the exact number, Secretary Kennedy
RFK Jr: *death growls*
BENNET: You took down the HHS communications promoting the flu vaccine. Do you regret that?
Of course, the follow-up is ... how the H-E-double-hockey-sticks did we go from taking pretty massive measures to protect children to:
"Let's infect ALL the children every year from in-utero onwards. 🥳"
I mean, what could go wrong?

We're in danger
Canada has already paid an "entry fee" in these negotiations — dropping counter-tariffs and scrapping the Digital Services Tax, a modest tax on the world's most profitable tech giants, at the behest of Donald Trump.
Those concessions got us nowhere.

"Nepal ranked 2nd globally – behind only Norway – for EV sales share last yr, with EVs now accounting for more than 70% of new vehicle sales, up from mere single-digit %s 5 yrs ago."
FTR Nepal is the poorest country in Asia.
All these stats are pre-Iran War.
The curve is going to steepen.

We had a contractor out at the house today and he asked me about our Ioniq 5 EV. I explained how much we loved it/ Asked about service & I said it won't need brake pads until about 120k miles. Basically tires until then.
I popped it open & he said "holy crap! It's huge inside!" Another #EV sold. ☺️
The eyewatering hypocrisy writes itself.
WARREN: I want to understand how slashing healthcare for families so Meta gets a $3b tax cut is a 'really good outcome for the American public'
IRS CEO BISIGNANO: I don't see the two as correlated
W: Those tax cuts were paid for by pushing people off their healthcare. Did you not follow that?
Welcome to the team, Danielle, Doly, and Tatiana.
Why yes. I did give a speech in the Senate about the joy of sex. A speech about sex and libraries, and the dangers of trying to censor what our teens can read and watch and do online. In a world full of digital risk, we need to teach our kids media literacy, and sexual literacy too. #cdnpoli #ableg

Queensland just hit 80% renewable energy! 🌞 With solar, wind, and hydro leading the charge, it’s a bright spot in a coal-heavy past. Can't wait to see those batteries powering the future! reneweconomy.com.au/renewables-hit-80-pct-sh...
The only reason we aren’t seeing even more EV sales in the US is because people can’t afford to buy cars right now and they got rid of the tax credit. If by some miracle the economy rebounds, people are definitely going to remember this when making their next car purchase.

What the hell is going on in Canadian media?
Why was journalist Tina Yazdani — who was dogged in her coverage of Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s government — suddenly fired from CityNews without any explanation to the public?
This is potential-major-press-freedom-story levels of concerning:
