After last night's draft, @kevbrown89.bsky.social & I met up for a recap podcast. Check it out and read some stuff I wrote right here

After rewatching the tape from the Dome, Benn Johnston's lefty alley jumpers are confirmed looking insanely pure... I might have to make a highlight tape with just all those goals.
Combo of K18 style inspo with Rabil power, he's going to be an incredible pro.
1: Jack Stahl, D, Princeton
No eraser has captivated the national spotlight more than Stahl's work on Spallina, Duffy, Kurdyla and more.
Started as No. 1 LSM, then emerged as top cover man vs. Maryland.
Coming off a 5CT, 2GB game vs. Goldstein/Cornell.
2: Brock Behrman, A, Notre Dame
With Yago coming in and 5-Star freshman Teddy Lally, Behrman's 20 points (11G, 9A) have been a total revelation to me.
3: Walter Zhao, FO, Vermont
Coming off 16-23 game vs Bryant; for Catamounts to be coming off nation's leader Henry Dodge to transition to a 65% understudy has been eye-popping
4: Patrick Radomski, A, Siena
With Ryan McCarthy and Pratt Reynolds graduating, Radomski simply had to step up.
For him to be tied first in PPG coming into WK7 is awesome, he's already up to 26G, 21A, 47P.
Coming off a 2G, 4A game vs Manhattan
5: Connor Knight, G, Richmond
But while Manning was the star of Team Canada's U20 gold, Knight has bided his time down at Richmond only to be 6th nationally in save % (59.2%)
6: Grayson Manning, G, Denver
14 saves vs Duke, 13 vs Cuse
64% leads DI
*This order was ranked from least expected to most, and while we expected Manning to be good, being arguably the best goalie in first full college season has been very impressive.
7: Mason Cook, A, Loyola
He had 4G, 2A vs. Bucknell; up to 33G, 7A through 9 games
8: Wyatt Hottle, M, Cuse
1G vs Denver, 2G vs Gtown; up to 12G, 5A on first line
9: Nathan Cobery, A, Harvard — had 4G, 1A vs. Dartmouth on Friday night
He's got 15G, 6A in taking Sam King's spot alongside Speidell/Malone at attack
10: Rhett Chambers, A, Providence — had 4 goals and 6 assists in a 35-goal shootout vs. Air Force.
He's got 20G, 25A this year, really taking up the facilitating mantle from Ryan Bell and scoring at a high clip after his U20 USA experience last Aug.
HM: Brevin Wilson, A, UNC — had a goal in one-goal win vs. Army, up to 14G, 5A in first year starting at attack as as sophomore.
Quick thread of tracking how well my Top 10 Breakout players so far this season on the men's side fared this past weekend...
www.insidelacrosse.com/article/10-b...
I noted in my 3OT gamer, Riley Reese really looked the part and it reminded me of when Schaller burst onto the scene as the injury replacement locking Brennan O'Neill down the stretch during the 2024 Quarterfinals.
Could Reese be the next Schaller?
www.insidelacrosse.com/article/whit...
John Tillman did say that Will Schaller's injury is significant, though he (predictably) stopped short of confirming @danarestia.bsky.social's report that it's an ACL injury.
A boost for Terps fans is that he expects Spanos to return at some point.

Happy Championship Series eve!
Plenty of star-studded additions to already loaded 12-player rosters this year.
NY looked unbeatable to start last year, then Boston caught fire en route to the title. Cali/MD's new looks will be fascinating.

The game of the day at the Atlanta Lacrosse Invitational was Michigan's upset overtime win vs. Boston College.
A story of mental strength, perseverance and a regained joy all wrapped up in one game-winning shot against her good friend in between the pipes.

Really need to start posting on here again.
I'll start sharing more thoughts each weekend, and will start with my fun trip to 285's Atlanta Lacrosse Invitational on Saturday.
The GA natives on Army are great at lacrosse and even better people.

Over a quarter of the teams on the poll got a No. 1 vote - that's February lacrosse baybee!

One week out and you know it's time for a Mock!
Just the First Round to start, which I right now have Sam King sliding out of. And if Carolina replaces Josh Byrne with another lefty in Owen Hiltz, how far does Chris Kavanagh slide?
www.insidelacrosse.com/article/2025...
The Carolina Chaos have signed free agent lefty attackman Adam Charalambides to a two-year deal, per source.
Best day of the year!
It's not quite the generational class of last year, but the PLL Big Board is full of hidden gems who'll certainly make impacts this year and beyond.
While I can't wait to see what First Round twists we get, the undrafted waiver wire will get upside potential.
