The New York Times drops freelance journalist who used AI to write book review Writer and author Alex Preston said he “made a serious mistake” after a reader spotted similarities between his review and one that appeared in the Guardian

Really surprised that a critic as experienced as Alex Preston would stoop to using AI to write. Plus I can't imagine rereading and editing my copy without noticing that some of the sentences weren't my own. (The last sentence of the article is very droll.)
