Master Frank cringed so much whenever he had his slave/drone doing anything for him that he had to admit that at least *some* ability to see might be useful.
Back so many moons ago, when I used to sleep hooded in a hood that was shared by so many other sweaty guys (so it saw a lot of use) we used to wash it out periodically with Hibiclens and let it air dry. I don't recall it leaving a scent behind but if it did, it never lasted long.
