Also apparently this is where I vent now. Sorry but also not completely sorry about that.

Also it just hit me that finding this out about my dad came on the anniversary of the last time I actually talked to my mom. So that’s fun.

Thank you, he has an appointment on Thursday to see what next steps are. It’s just exhausting, every time I feel like things are starting to get better another shoe drops. 😞

So the unfortunate update is that despite treatment and looking like everything was going well, my dad’s cancer has now spread to his liver.

If I had a nickel for every time a parent’s life was in danger because of their liver I’d have two fucking nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s extremely upsetting that it’s happened twice. 🫠🫠

Fingers crossed I can be unconscious in the next 20 minutes so I can get 8ish hours of sleep before I have to be at work at 5am 😭🤞

For context: I work at a 501c3 nonprofit. We sued the Trump admin to block his rollbacks of environmental rules on average once per week from 2017-2020. We won 90% of those cases. This is why they want to stop us

Labeling your NSFW images makes them work with Bsky's built-in moderation system. You won't lose visibility because people who want to see NSFW have it turned on.

It's just considerate, that's all.
