The fact that Mamdani just seems like a cheerful normal guy who's policies are things like "we're going to tax second homes to fund pothole repairs" or whatever and yet this generates panicked responses like "This is basically Stalin's great purge turned up to eleven" is... telling. It tells things.
fucking absurd hornets heat game lmfaoooo
Miles Bridges ASSAULTED that final shot and SMASHED THE GLASS! He ABUSED Mitchell's shot like he was a CHILD!
A lot of the indie animation I see on youtube is genuine slop of the same quality as the shit being put out by studios.
That being said, it is homemade slop created out of love instead of slop created by people who arent much more than demons. So I'm MUCH more favorable towards it.
Yeah that game was incredible. I laughed out loud when Jokic hit Gordon for that easy dunk in the 4th after pulling Wemby to him.
I love watching both those teams, cant wait for the playoffs.
If Wemby was putting up those numbers regularly with his defense he'd probably be in the midst of the highest peak ever.
Death is always lurking. We see it in violence, in the wounds of the world, in the cry of pain that rises from every corner because of the abuses that crush the weakest among us, because of the idolatry of profit that plunders the earth's resources, because of the violence of war that kills and destroys.

It’s not just Ms. Rachel.
The biggest names in children’s educational programming are coming out in force to call for kids to be freed from ICE detention.

The Department of State tweets a video of Secretary Marco Rubio. In the video, Rubio says: "Imagine if instead of spending billions of dollars supporting terrorists or weapons, Iran had spent that money helping the people of Iran. They would have a much different country."
FactPost News tweets a video of Donald Trump speaking at a podium. In the video he says: "We can't take care of daycare. We're a big country. We're fighting wars. It's not possible for us to take care of daycare, Medicaid, Medicare, all these things."
hmm
TRANSGENDER KITKAT MAFIA. I am not transgender myself but would like to support kitkat mafioso's of any kind.
If any of my followers are in the underground transgender mafia, I just want it to be known that if you happen to come into possession of some amount of KitKats by entirely legitimate means, then I may know a buyer who is interested.
I have issues with Inside The NBA and the way they cover the league but Chuck has CONSISTENTLY been on the right side in every social issue, while also being generally very kind and hilarious.
CBS turned their news operation into propaganda, kicked Colbert off the air for making too much trouble, and all that just to have Charles Barkley go on the air on one of their most-watched telecasts of the year and say this lmao
Great season for BELIEVERS ☘️
“If you’re gay or transgender, I love you. And if anybody gives you shit, tell ‘em Charles said fuck you.”
Stay off twitter. People on there have never read anything that wasnt shonen battle manga or teen fantasy. Its pretty bad.
Ending was aight tho I think, I had fun. A little sudden, but it does a good job and seems like the only way to have a real happy ending for the main cast.
it’s incredibly blackpilling to me that it takes rising gas prices and rising gas prices alone to have people turn against the war in iran, and not the american government murdering thousands of children and civilians in iran. americans are incredibly selfish
[me, experiencing any amount of joy] well, this has been entirely undeserved
Whether they intended to build institutions that would last a century, or they simply lucked into it by being the first big earners in a world heading towards deifying those with the most money.
I wonder how this has changed over time, if at all? Obviously they could measure it and were aware of quarterly trends, but I wonder if people like Rockefeller or J.P. Morgan thought about it like this. Strictly basing their decisions on quarterly gains or losses, instead of considering long term.
The kind of extremely unethical garbage basketball that loops all the way around to being fun again.
1st quarter was just legit good though.
Season 1 of JJK does have this issue bigtime, where it just feels like a shitty Naruto ripoff, but it improves a lot through season 2 and ESPECIALLY beyond that. Understandable if you dont feel like giving it that much time though.
one day
Microdosing depression by reading news headlines.
obviously this is a massive simplification of the WB merger and all that shit but yk what I mean its all just horrible
If you want an example, look at David Zazlav. He became the CEO of Warner Bros., made it markedly worse in every way he could (with the goal of short term profit in mind), and then sold it at a massive profit anyways. Its good business, but it SHOULDNT BE.
But thats not how it ends up working in practice. The REAL best way to make money is to take an existing company and squeeze the life out of every single person who relies on its product, and then to throw the company to the side and make off with your $$.
Capitalism works in theory because of the assumption that building a solid company through hard work and good culture is the best way to make money. It assumes that leadership looks out for not only the present day profits, but things that arent profitable *now* which would lead to FUTURE profit.
