Another massively undersold oddball that's currently under $2 - Omega 6: The Triangle Stars
A SNES-style adventure by the original F-Zero and Star Fox artist, full of funny weird space-guys. Very retro walk-and-talk adventuring with rock-paper-scissors based RPG battling.

Oh good grief that's sent a chill down my spine! :O
So, new Capcom IPs with a likeable cast and great arcade-like action do critically and commercially well? If only there was something in their back catalogue they could bring to a wider audience hungry for more...

In the meantime, since predictably no western reviewers of note ever gave the original Bunny Garden the time of day (or at least, according to Metacritic), I took it upon myself in 2024 to give it that write-up. Hardly an essential game, but one with a more interesting lineage than most realize. 👇
Living like KINGS
Thank you! And yes, what a wild time for gaming!
Moving straight from computers to Sega consoles as a kid, I always thought the NES/SNES having a dedicated Select button was so fancy. No up/down drudgery on the title screen for Nintendo players! How decadent!
Thank you! Glad you liked it (and that you've been having fun with this sort of thing too)!
Also: I'll close this [informal] poll today! If you have an opinion, make sure you let me know!
And ready for everyone is this piece on the value of old and "outdated" reviews and perspectives. Gaming's critical past is an important resource and provider of now oft-forgetten views:

Got a new article for all Ko-fi subscribers! Ever needed a Hebereke-themed picross game? Well, here you go!

Whatever works for you, works for you!
Nice!
...I should finally play Okamiden...
To celebrate hitting 14,000 followers on Bluesky, I'm... gonna shake my tip jars on Ko-Fi and Paypal below, because work's been slow this month and I've got a house move coming up at the end of April...
But I'll be also posting a big thread of cool games with under 100 Steam reviews! LET'S GOOOOOO!
Last RP: Highly recommend doing that, or something similar! Don't be afraid to type AND ANOTHER GOOD POINT HERE and then move on - nobody has to see your drafts!
Also: Take lots of notes. Thoughts, feelings, little fragments of an idea you can't quite nail down... it all helps.

Highly strategic, utterly bonkers, and always enjoyable - it's Touhou Soccer:

New mini-post on my Ko-fi!
I want your input: There are three pairs of geogeous Chinese language PC RPGs I'd like to cover, please help me pick one!
(And come and look at a few photos of their boxes too, if you like)

A photo showing the box for Generation Xth: Code Realise (PC). Much of the cover is taken up by an image of an anime girl with a large blade slung over one shoulder. She’s wearing a black uniform-like clothing, and of course the short skirt is *short*
Oh! Forgot I had this!
(Taiwanese version of Generation Xth: Code Realize)
A screenshot from Angelique Special 2 (PlayStation). My character is chatting to Rachel, her rival who is actually quite lovely and positive. The dialogue presents me with the option of being thrilled at her offer of (friendly) competition or not.
Difficulty select but make it diegetic:
How thrilled or otherwise am I at the thought of having a (friendly) rival?
(It's so good!)
Glad you enjoyed my article! Thanks for reading!
One last little poke for this! What a game! I love it, and I hope you do too:
