Could someone like @hankgreen.bsky.social explain this to me? I'm a type 2 diabetic with an a1c in the normal range via diet. For about 6 months now my mouth constantly tastes sweet, even after brushing my teeth, multiple cups of water, etc. Google says it's diabetes related, but doesn't explain.

That "one away" flashes so quickly. I've missed it so often because the cat meowed just then, I blinked, I coughed, the hubby turned over in bed and jostled me, etc. I don't know why it doesn't just leave that up.

Yeah, no. She picks on trans women who have done absolutely nothing to her or anyone else. And she's made it more difficult for trans people to get lifesaving medical care. I judge a tree by its fruit, and the fruit of her TERFdom is more dead people.

The articles I can actually read, I'm not discounting. But they're still sensationalized news stories. And still outliers. Are they worthy of compassion? Of course. Should we follow that with rhetoric that puts more people in danger? Hell no.

Yes, I think conservatives who don't care about women or trans people are using transphobia to score political points. The funeral industry is getting more clients. Fear mongering media outlets love a good trans bashing. Blood gets clicks. Outrage gets clicks. Women are definitely not winning.

I am? Dang, I missed when they passed out the trans agenda! Simple fact is, trans women aren't using their trans identity to rape women. A cis man can gain access to women a whole lot easier than pretending to be trans. But trans people and gender-non-conforming people are being violently targeted

How many cis women get to be assaulted by anti-trans toilet guardians for you to recognize it's a greater danger? How many trans people being murdered? How many 14-year-old homeless trans kids doing sex work for food? How many toddlers beaten to death for wearing their mom's heels?

Hon, I'm not in any way, shape, or form part of the trans movement. I'm just a Mama Bear tired of seeing trans equality treated like a political talking point for political gain. It isn't a discussion or a debate. It's people's lives vs some oppressive intellectual exercise & a lot of fear mongering

"Trans movement" -- you keep using that word like there's some massive conspiracy of trans people who are vetting people before they're let into the super sekrit hideout. The trans "movement" is just trans people wanting to be treated like human beings and not murdered in the streets for being trans
