I wonder what #fabtcg Calling Memphis would’ve looked like had needles still been legal just for that tournament. There was some really cool decks that counterplayed needle Ira + Zen. Would’ve been cool to see what everyone brought to target needles. Now back to working on a new deck… 😂

24th on Prism 1 at the LL calling Chicago. I weirdly feel ok about this as I decided to go only 2 weeks ago and pivoted decks 3 times since and never played Prism 1 before. I definitely had big holes in my deck (no tunic for Starvo mu, what was I thinking 🤔) but I learned to appreciate the LL format
Keep doing it, I like seeing random pings from you letting me know which bad take I need to check out 🫡
BL was also a very good draft once you get past the “force teklo” stage :)
I am going to make a lot of #fabtcg people upset:
ROS is the best draft set and it’s not even close. MST was a good week 1 draft set. Once solved, MST was a bad draft set.
I don’t think I have one in particular, it’s the mix of all of them 😂

I’m seriously looking at going to Chicago for the LL calling now… the dichotomy of having so much PTSD from many LL cards and “but fab tournaments are awesome” hits hard #fabtcg

FAB TCG 5th anniversary celebration event, in Shinjuku Tokyo
I found a new must-do when traveling to a #fabtcg tier 4s: playing an armory in that country. Loved playing against a bunch of local Japanese players and learning a different gaming culture!

I’m definitely also of this opinion, but maybe there should be a cap; “top X results of the year” type of thing as a middle ground
Rather than “not rewarding grinding”, I will edit to “rewards grinding less than it currently is” :)
I think I mostly argue for a system that does not reward grinding. I just don’t feel like the POTY system should even be winnable by grinding events, even if the players doing so are obviously very strong and consistent
I love the idea of a #fabtcg POTY system! But I’m unsure about the 2025 system:
T8 2x PT, T8 Worlds, T8 Nats is 66 points ceiling. To me that is a crazy performance that should outright win POTY
But BH/Calling grinders could accumulate that many points over a year without a tier 4 T8 and win POTY?
I ended Worlds 76th, 9-6 record. I played non-cyb Enigma, which I think was not a good pick
