Let's also consider that this guy wasn't the first (or last) to swindle gullible men out of their money. Remember when Twitter started showing people's country location, and so many blonde, blue-eyed escorts were found to be based in Africa?

I'm just saying. A book. Now and then

Before anyone gets mad, I'm *not* saying all Republicans are dumb. But esp. the MAGA faction has been consistently anti-education, and believes feelings trump truth. With the exponential acceleration of the AI landscape, the willful ignorance is now hurting them as much as others

The med student also created a hot Democrat babe troll account, but abandoned it bc Democrats could tell it was AI...

My money says Insta probably only banned him bc he directed traffic to Fanvue, not bc he used AI for content (it was an anti-SW measure, not anti-fraud).

(No spoilers) The Pitt S02 was great. Not quite as gripping as S01, but still has great momentum. I'm again impressed with the portrayal of nuanced, relatable problems. The characters are very human, except, of course, for the mile-a-minute witty dialogue 🤭 (which I love)

The next season of ballet has been announced! Some really great works are on the way, including Swan Lake! 🩰🖤

It is possible to sponsor my outings. I would blog about each performance on my website (do we still use "blog" as a verb?). 🌹

I just made a sacrifice to the Sephora gods (as one does during a sale 💸)... While there, I tried on the new Jo Malone scent, Yuzu Zest, bc I love yuzu. It's a nice enough citrus, but yuzu...it is sadly not. Hopes dashed 🥀

I suppose I’ll have to endure an entire season of tragic arias and beautifully poor decisions. A truly inconvenient gift. 😉

And I'll be simply forced to write up every show in my blog...since, apparently, enjoyment of my most recent post is what spurred this on...(thank you!!)

Photo of a woman sitting with a small, black leather clutch and a pair of opera glasses sitting in her lap, in a box seat at a symphony hall. This photo was taken moments before she got up and joined the other audience in dancing, full of life and an inclination for adventure.

Box seats. We went to a concert of the musician who made the music for Borat (but is a legend in his own right in Eastern Europe). We were at the Symphony hall, but people were dancing and singing along. It was soulful, beautiful. Always court the unexpected. The unknown 💃💋🌹

Once, when I was in Japan (pre-Me Too), some whiny dude at a party asked me how to talk to women. He showed that he thought women were totally different, like they had zero overlap with him in their lives.

I said, "imagine they're human, too." He stopped talking and seemed to really think about it

Most ppl don't think outside what they've been taught/modeled. 20 yrs ago, most men didn't respect women as equals, bc they were socialized to see women as "other." I'm def not defending it! I like Murakami for his psychological depth, but not breadth. That said, I haven't watched the interviews yet

I haven't read his books in a long time. But I'll say that they, like all art, are a product of their time, as well as of the culture Murakami was raised in. A lot of Gen Zs don't realize that before social media, most ppl weren't hearing almost any discourse about sexism. Esp in Japan 1/2

Another sweet gift! But we have a debate to settle...

Do you love, or hate, Haruki Murakami? For there is no in-between...
