If this presser is a sign of things to come under Sunny’s leadership then the #NJDevils are in good hands. He was articulate, charismatic, focused & inspiring. I have more clarity and confidence in our path to contending for a Cup after Mehta’s first 30 min. than Fitz’s entire six year tenure as GM.
Alright! That was quick, decisive & opportunistic—I hope that foreshadows the mentality of Mehta’s tenure. The #NJDevils secured this cycle’s the most sought after next gen. GM & moved faster than YYZ & BNA to do it. We got our guy & did it decisively. I predict a busy & productive summer in Jersey.

I’m not certain this ends up as the PR slam dunk the organization is probably anticipating. They might want to consider having Devils, Sabres & NY Sirens Olympians standing together to celebrate all their Olympic achievements tonight. Some bridge building would go along way w/ many #NJDevils fans.
A few years back the NHL made a big push to grow the game with the mantra that hockey is for everyone. Words count for a lot but actions mean even more. If you genuinely believe that then step up, speak out when it isn’t easy & embody the values you say you believe in by practicing what you preach.

Me too. There’s an old wine tasting saying “no fruit, no future”. It’s more for when you’re tasting older wines but it’s pretty good general advice that if you’re struggling to get fruit from a wine, it’s probably one you can skip.
The craziest thing to me about Napa wines is you’re still allowed to label it a single variety like Cab Sauv while putting up to 25% other grapes in there. If you’re making a single variety don’t do it 3/4 & hide behind lax rules. Be transparent that it’s a blend & be proud to call it as such.
Wine tasting notes are an obtuse special language but that one is peculiar for a Napa Cab. Seeing mineral descriptors like iodine, seashell & pencil plus revealing it’s a blend tells me the Cab Franc is doing heavy lifting. I’d expect black fruit like blackberries & blackcurrant to be prominent.
This should be a good and cathartic listen for us diehard hard passionate fans. Jan Han is an excellent hockey mind and with this inside knowledge he should be able to provide solid insight on what’s gone off the rails for the #NJDevils under Keefe.

What a day of top quality hockey at the Olympics. The highlights, heartbreak and heroics on display today are what make this the world’s best sport. I can’t believe we’re lucky enough to get two more rounds of this for the men before the week ends. Plus we get the womens’ medal games tomorrow.
Agreed I now view it as a brilliantly cute PSA. But I had a love-hate relationship when i was a kid & originally saw it. When they cut to the you can’t believe everything you see on TV message the disappointment was so palpable it was akin to the gut punch of learning the truth about Santa.
Forget all the equipment, that he hasn’t finished grade school & that his force is manned by talking canines with human-level intelligence. This point might be the most unrealistic thing about the show. There’s no way the US military industrial complex allows a private paramilitary to get that big.

If you want AI to be a transformative technology, first listen to actual workers. Free them from mundane & tedious tasks in their jobs so that they can do more of the creative work & problem solving that empowers them & allows them to be difference makers. Until you can do that keep it in beta.
Sounds like a solution-in-search-of-a-problem. You can’t be a solution if you don’t know what you’re trying to fix. Real productivity gains come when you centre humans & make their lives/jobs easier. You don’t do that by forcing them to work in unintuitive ways & piling on mistakes for them to fix.
The man is an infinity pool of ineptitude. You don’t end up in a clusterfuck as deep as the #NJDevils are in right now without excelling at unwittingly creating future problems whilst simultaneously failing to cleanup your current messes.
I just realised that if I were Nemec’s agent negotiating an extension I would slide Fitz a print out of this along with a copy of the Luke signing press release and just wait for an offer. If it was lower than $9 million I’d walk right out the door. Hopefully Fitz is gone before summer. #NJDevils
100%! We all knew you had to move Palat and/or Dougie over the summer, but Fitz half assed it & failed. Now that we’re melting down & our dirty laundry is out in the national media, he’s spinning narratives to force a trade. It’s like letting a wound fester before cleaning it & applying a bandage.
