A poignant recap of Mark Carney's legacy after 1 year in power.
Great read for Canadians and Americans, alike.

Music to my ears :)
I love how Timothy Snyder is precise and explicit in his statements. It is always very authentic and so rare these days.
1/2. Notice that after losing the war Trump threatens his allies rather than Russia — even though Russia quite literally helped Iran defeat the US and he knows it.

New Substack post is up! bit.ly/3NAO61k
This one covers my new paper on measuring "Corporate BS Receptivity" (CBSR), including what BS actually is, how it spreads in the workplace, and what we can do about it. 🐂 💩
Everything he says & does reveals him for what he is…inhuman. No one does a better job of revealing who & what he is better than he does for all the world to see. A Narcissistic Psychopath with an unquenchable thirst for adoration, worship, undying fealty & a red carpet roller for his master Vlad!
All other things aside (especially, American flags in the background), I just do not get why he still keeps copying Trump in a way he talks. Is this a new standard in political strategies?
They killed people on those territories 90 years ago by Holodomor. Relocated Russians there, putting them into the apartments and houses of those they killed. Then they killed descendants of those they have relocated and are now ready for another “relocation”.
When you hear “Trump” there is always Russia. It is a theatre of absurd: he keeps doing everything he can to benefit Russia, but no-one can find Russian interference 🤷♀️.
🙄 how they can be so obvious. Now it is even more obvious that it is in Trump’s interest to keep Iran “conflict” brewing.
Oh, now he wants to talk. For 4 years Israel refused to help Ukraine. Also, did he stop talking to his friend Putin who makes those Iranian drones?
or how about what Israel is doing to Gaza
and the fact that Russia is in the process of trying to obliterate Ukraine does not bother him at all.
And “Who bears responsibility?”
And what do police departments can do with this warning? How police can protect against drones that may fly from the sea/ocean ? Isn’t it a US military responsibility?
I first thought it was sarcasm, but nope. This is what USA has become.
I understand why the West keeps praising Zelensky from a political perspective. However, from a human and social perspective, he simply had no choice but to be 'brave.' You have to know Ukrainians; the disgrace he would have faced was imminent and far worse than the threat of being killed."
😶😶😶
“In pursuit of subjective morality or public displays of virtue,” he added, “we risk abandoning the very individuals we pledged to serve.”
“Subjective morality”…
What is wrong with those people? How did they get this chemical imbalance in their brains?

" Ukrainians found it hard to imagine that their neighbours could turn on them so aggressively, Popova said.
"And that's another parallel."

“one feels ridiculous, coming from a society that is busily, proudly endeavoring to destroy itself, spending time in a society that is working under the toughest of circumstances to preserve itself.”

If you are appalled at the tactics of ICE and CBP, you should be! They in fact are *NOT* trained for the work they're doing in America's interior right now—and they're scared of interacting with US citizens. That's a recipe for the exact disaster we see: www.doomsdayscenario.co/p/ice-101-ho...
Carney: "American hegemony in particular helped provide public goods, a stable financial system... this bargain no longer works. Let me be direct. We are in the midst of a rupture, not a transition... recently, great powers have begun using economic integration as a weapon. Tariffs as leverage ... "
It is truly scary
“…Dorothy was there. She saw that the same normalizing tactics that she had witnessed in Germany in 1934 had come to America.”
Ukrainians are now worried that if Trump will learn he wasn't nominated this year for Taras Shevchenko Literary award, they are screwed
You're willing to drag the world into deadly turmoil when your only reason for being in power it to avoid jail.
