Wonder how long Rosenior will be aging these men?
How is this the same side that smashed us. Brighton schooling them
Posts by Tom Robinson
What a lovely ball from Lucas Digne, and finish from Tammy.
The tale of the substitutions.
That's the very best of Emi Martinez just seconds before too.
Never a dull moment for Aston Villa, just a mad two minutes that could have cost us dearly.

Shades of World Cup final save vs Kolo Muani. Man for the big occasion
What have I just watched?! From absolutely cruising to staring down the barrel of an incredible comeback, only to snatch at the death. Football, bloody hell #avfc #utv
So good to Ollie moving freely and with confidence. Looks a completely different player compared to earlier in the season.
Also McGinn has been class in the first half #avfc #utv
No, but seriously, good to have him back in the Prem
Is Lautaro di Lollo any good?
Been watching a lot of the Sudamericano U17 and Argentina and Vélez left back Simon Escobar is really standing out. Has all the physical, technical and mental qualities to make it at the top level. Could be a long term solution to what has been a problem position for the national team.
Where can I get a pair of glasses like Always Ready coach Julio Cesar Baldivieso?
Peru absolutely losing their heads here. 3 red cards as they fall to another defeat. Wouldn't have happened on Gormley's watch
Oh nice! Didnt realise you had those links!
Yeah saw he was at Inter Miami. Irish + Peruvian is a great selection dilemma to have
Watching the Sudamericano U17 and Perú have a midfielder called Sean Gormley
Ollie Watkins the first player since the 1960s to hit 100 goals for Villa.
Might not be having the best season but think that speaks volumes of what he's done for us.
Probably been said elsewhere but should this fixture be dubbed the Spaghetti Junction Bolognese derby? #avfc #utv
Jonathan Rowe's performance deserved a goal. Tormented Cash all night and so so half-hearted from Bailey there. Bet Emery will be fuming with that. Gives Bologna a lifeline.
World class save from Emi
@handofpod.bsky.social What is behind the popularity behind Alan and Ian as names in Argentina? And at what point will they outnumber the amount of Alans and Ians in the UK?
Yet another Velez academy graduate. Proper handful
HT: Bologna 0-1 #AVFC
Safe to say Villa rode their luck. Toiled at times against man-to-man press (as Emery & Cash warned against yesterday), which has been compounded by poor passes & shaky defending. With all that said, it was entirely predictable they'd score out of nothing
Argentina off to a winning start in Sudamericano U17. Goytia and Alcaraz with a brace each
Tomas Aranda continuing to show that Boca might have a really special talent on their hands.
Great in tight spaces and under pressure. Excellent use of his body and understanding of space to wriggle free and combine with teammates. Intelligence and maturity of a seasoned pro already
Argentina squad for U17 Sudamericano announced. Baroni the biggest name but lots of talent like Policella in there.
Personally really looking forward to see Simon Escobar - very exciting left back
Think he definitely could do that role if needs be. Has the physical profile and ball control that could bring others into play.
More generally I hope we see a lot of him. I think he's fantastic
Flaco López got to be in with a shout.
Feel like Boyé has as much chance as Pellegrino or Gio Simeone - could see Scaloni more likely using a false nine or someone he knows like Nico González to just run about a lot than opt for an unknown quantity
@handofpod.bsky.social with Panichelli doing his ACL, who does that leave the door open to being the striking alternative to Julian and Lautaro at the World Cup?
Por la mañana café
Por la tarde ron
Villa's number 8
