Scottish Parliament election to have daytime vote count in 2026 Votes will be counted the day after the 7 May poll, instead of overnight, it has been announced.

The National today has a good piece on tactical voting on p 4-5 and highlights that the unionist parties are doing exactly the same to keep the SNP & Reform out.

It'll be a longer than usual anxious wait for the results ! I just hope the overnight security is good.
