Random observations for 4/20:

- Got a fast-food email offer about a "Dream Rotation" and I'm still thrown by corporate embrace. To me it's still something some people I know online do.

That's useful! It doesn't look like it currently does media embeds (at least in Discord) if there's some way I can get that bit of feedback to the maintainer

I share a link to BlackSky, they have to hunt for it on BlueSky to interact on network and vice-versa.

From the perspective of someone who wants my shit to be shared, it makes more sense for me to externally link the BlueSky representation of my BlackSky account

This will get worse as PDSes expand

BlackSky is (and I presume other networks on ATProto as well are) going to need some way to intercept BlueSky links if we don't have one already

Am running into mild annoyance with friends who are in different parts of the ecosystem sharing links to posts elsewhere

Kim is an incredibly well-executed character. Last night I found the main character's identity at the wreck and realizing why Kim took an interest in that wreck was a small but very meaningful moment.

He's going to stick with me for a long time.

I should be clear that the visual art comment isn't meant to be a criticism; it is using its imagery effectively to communicate without being visually enjoyable. For the most part, I find art style commentary in gaming... I won't say "wrong", but "largely personally irrelevant". This is not that.

Disco Elysium is pretty great.

It has not been kind to my fears over my health, money and mortality, so that's hard. I don't find the voices very funny and the visual art is mostly repulsive to me. But it knows exactly what it's doing, and I appreciate seeing something so thoughtful about people.

Can't say that happens for me, the main feed already feels borderline unusable when 40 different mutuals decide they need to scream at the same person over the course of a day -- but that would make it literally unusable for me, I think

I am not even sure "hide this post" hides quote-posts, but I can't tell what's a glitch or not

you would think "mute this thread" would do that, but instead it just silences notifications if you're involved

which, granted, that's a very useful feature too buuuuuuut

yeah I've never even tried to dabble at this sorta late 16-bit/32-bit level of spritework, I'm sure it's quite time-intensive

Ehh. I am very leery on this position and am not particularly enamored of cutting wit. That lost its shine for me years ago.

I feel like most historically marginalized groups *do* know this and we only have a few that are not very good at doing this and getting worse in the age of social media -- the ones which can't form communities from a young age because they're heterogeneously mixed in general population
