Somalia faces 'food crisis' after lifesaving US grants hit their end Organizations have begun to receive notice that once their awards run out, there will be no more U.S. funds coming their way.

Over the weekend, funding ended for 13 nutrition centers supported by Alight in Somalia. “Suddenly, we have to close all these facilities,” said Adan Adar, Alight’s Executive Director for the Horn of Africa.
