Follow @abench4everyone on ig to keep up with the mission to give Nashville a place to sit.
Today is National Siblings Day. Love any reason to tell my sisters how much I love them and how grateful I am to have them in my life. ❤️
Six years ago today the world lost an amazing man - husband, father, musician, friend - the labels are too numerous to mention. And as our family remembers John Prine today, we are reminded of the kindness of a beautiful human who remembered our son, Max, in a song. 💜
Pope Leo XIV used his first Easter address as pontiff to renew pleas for peace and dialogue, and to condemn violence, as war in the Middle East cast a shadow over the celebrations. “We are growing accustomed to violence, resigning ourselves to it, and becoming indifferent” he said. trib.al/xc8Ta9u
Happy Easter Sunday everybody! Wishing you all a wonderful and relaxing day with your loved ones. 🐇❤️
Thinking of you, Max, as another holiday without you comes and goes. Always in my heart, my sweet boy.
Farewell, big tree. 🌳❤️
Wishing everyone a joyous Passover filled with love and blessings. ❤️
Last week I had the honor of attending a live taping of Slice of Live with Jerome Moore, featuring the cast of Hawks Talk Podcast.
It was also wonderful to spend some time with Becky Magura, President and CEO of Nashville PBS.
Thank you all for having me! ❤️
It’s always bittersweet to come to a funeral at the Belcourt Theatre. Here today to remember and celebrate the life of HG Webb.
What a legacy of a life! He loved his family, Nina, and his community and he showed up for them every day. He leaves a huge hole.
I’m blessed to have known him.
Trans rights are human rights.
I see you. You matter. ❤️
If you’d like to hear my story in my own words, you can listen to It’s What You Do Next: The Fall and Rise of Nashville’s First Female Mayor on audiobook through Amazon.
If you’ve read my book, I’d so appreciate if you left a review! It helps more than you know. ❤️
It was such a delight to be invited to beautiful Fairview and to be with Melissa Grace and her friends to discuss my book, It’s What You Do Next.
Want me to come to your book club? Just ask! And if you’ve read It’s What You Do Next, please leave a review on Amazon or Gooreads. 📚❤️
Today is Major League Baseball Opening Day - first pitch at 1:15 pm EST - Go Mets!
So many games, so many memories, so many hats. 🧢
Spring is in full swing, and there’s lots to do in Nashville!
Let me know of any I missed. 🌱❤️
Grateful for this life never knowing what the day will bring 🌱❤️
It was great to hear from Mark Joseph Stern, a senior writer for Slate Magazine, at the recent Freedom Circle TN gathering.
Thanks for the insights and for all TN Freedom Circle is doing for reproductive rights in TN. ❤️
Spring is finally here! 🌼

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! ☘️
Mayor Berry is back in season at Diskin Cider! 🫐🍺
You can find it in bars and retailers across Nashville, or order online at diskincider.com 💜
Today is National Plant a Flower Day. Spring is right around the corner, so if you haven’t already, go grab some flowers or seeds and get to planting! 🌱❤️
Had the great privilege of being in NYC over the weekend to visit my MIL and see my niece. We caught an off-Broadway show, Data, and had great views of the park.
It rained the entire time, but our hotel had a rabbit theme - so around every corner, Max seemed to be winking and saying hello. 🐇❤️
The ‘90’s. There’s no punk or material girl left over from the ‘80’s. There no glamour or celebrity sightings. The ‘90’s were being a mom to sweet Max, traveling for work, occasional vacations, and lots of laughter with B and family and friends. 💗
Loved being at a rare 1:00 Preds game today to cheer on the home team with Tom, Max’s bestie since kindergarten, and his beautiful wife, Hailey. While the Preds ultimately fell short, they definitely had the crowd on their feet and it was a fun game!
It was such a great pleasure to enjoy a beautiful meal cooked by Chef Margot recently and to once again be reminded of how food can feed your stomach and your soul.
Sadly, Margot Cafe will close on June 5 - but until then, make a reservation, pull up a seat to the bar and feel the love.
