In 2 years, will SWE interviews be all about building a complex project in an hour using Cursor or GitHub Copilot? 😂

Just saw a bunch of discussions about this today.
As a newbie grinding LeetCode, I get that it’s the cheapest way for big tech to filter candidates, but I can’t help wondering… 👇 (1/2)

bittersweet news: today is my last day at Bluesky. 💙 i’m very thankful to the team for letting me learn many new things on the job (including React Native). i’m wishing them luck in the improbable — but inevitable — task of making decentralized social media usable and competitive.
that's true, but maybe someday I can buy stock of VoidZero at Nasdaq lol
Just tried to make a demo and apply with the vitest/ui, what a amazing debug UI 🤯

After watching Theo's intro about VoidZero, just found that I missed an important insight about how an OSS-related company earns a profit and why the VC wants to invest in it. Maybe the point is about the "E2E JS tooling solution" here.

there's now a ~9 kb web component for profile cards as well
same deal, can be SSR'd for 0-JS

我的做法是去看閱讀前哨站有沒有寫摘要 😆,但用 NotebookLLM 這個還真是個不錯的想法,之後也來試試
Thanks, Eric! Yeah, I saw your post on Threads and thought it might be about JSDC. Such a pity about the policy 🥲, but looking forward to seeing you at a future conference! 🙌
I just realized that every speaker for this year's JSDC in Taiwan, except for me, applied with a real photo and a formal name. I'm wondering if I should ask the organizers to replace mine with the formal ones, lol

I still feel that my English speaking skills are about 60% as good as my Chinese. There are still many misunderstandings when communicating with native speakers. Perhaps I just need more time to practice and reduce the communication barriers.
Lots of BTC posts on Threads. Although I have a very nano position in it, I still find those marketing posts a bit annoying lol
and what's more, I thought I should reduce the time I spend on threads in this month, and practice more English writing here
It seems like it's time to write the 2024 review, but things have been very busy in recent weeks, so the 2024 review and traveling of Fukuoka blog might have to be postponed until Q1 2025, lol.
Just for the record
Perhaps it's a starting point? 🤔
During those moments, I found that changing my working environment—like moving to a café or working from my bed—helped improve my focus. Alternatively, switching to easier tasks also seemed to increase my productivity.
Recently, I learned about a concept called the law of diminishing marginal returns. I noticed that after working hard for several hours, the more I tried to focus, the less productive I became.
just found that the latte art on matcha lattes seems to turn out much better than on coffee lattes
I'm setting up a new side project today. Since it's a simple POC and I want to apply the VoidZero tech stack, Next.js isn’t my choice. Instead, I chose Remix to initialize it and found several quick full-stack templates from Remix as below:
- blues-stack
- indie-stack
- grunge-stack
I've just released a series of posts about modern frontend tools, including Vite, Rspack, and some JavaScript module history, on my blog. However, they are only available in Chinese for now. Maybe someday, I can find a package to automatically translate them into English using a GAI API. 🦾
😮
I've been trying to add some features to my blog these days because the market for engineering seems cold now. Maybe keeping on building something is the only thing I can do, and once the next wave comes, I'll be much better prepared.
I'm wondering if I can practice my English writing here, without AI, of course.
Hello, Bluesky! 🦋
