unless you are loitering for long periods for no reason then I think you will be fine. Most hotels including overflow know whats going on so havin a silly cute animal person sitting around wont be too weird for em.
Most cons if it's a overflow they tend to not mind if you are passing through to the main. Hanging out in the overflow though prob won't be a huge issue but they suggest you don't. If you're worried about the walk to main in suit I would ask a friend to store or let you suit up in their room.
