I don't know if I'm more concerned with Howe and Co overseeing a massive rebuild, or the stubborn tactics continuing. Either way, you're right - surely it's too much risk.

"Ethereal". OK. Have a good night.

I think I've already answered that. If you believe there is no one at all that could do a job then fair enough.

Someone the players are going to respond to. Its quite clear they don't believe in the tactics or are motivated to even look like trying. I love EH but if he's lost the dressing room...

You'd think he done it on a shoestring - he's spent a fortune. You let Bournemouth or Brighton spend the 100's of millions and they'd be doing the same. Average spend £49m per player. Its not down to magic that he's had some success.

Sorry Kev, I was just being facetious.

That's all fine and well but it doesn't dispel the fact there has been no discernable style of play or plan during the year or more we've predominately been absolutely pony.

Are our strikers actually strikers?

The more #NUFC play the worse we do.

No need for "crosses".

Totally agree. And we can't underestimate how prospective signings view our style of play and what they are hearing on the football grapevine.

Same here. Trying to cut out the rot rather than replacing the manager seems like kicking the can down the road. Sure a lot of players need to go, but it's a TOTAL rebuild for me - starting with EH.

This has got Mango's name all over it.

Aye, one criticism of PIF is they seem to be in no hurry over anything NUFC.

I could see that, definitely. Especially as Howe had a say in recruiting our current one.

Just said the same on Mark Douglas' post. If they don't pull their finger out sharpish any new manager is going to be playing catch-up with his targets.

They need to pull their fingers out or any new manager will be playing catch-up with targets.

The shitshow of a window that we've just had means any new manager will more than likely have to sell three big-hitters along with Willock, Murphy, Osula, Woltemade/Wissa, Barnes, if they want a quality overhaul. Big job.

I was calling for him instead of Elanga. Unfortunately we probably can't afford two £50m wingers (if Elanga is indeed a winger...or footballer).

I've got to agree. He's a hero but his team is looking stale. Do we really want to risk him and his nephew overseeing a massive rebuild when the players clearly don't buy into his tactics. Not for me. Thank you so much Eddie, but enough is enough for you AND us.

There's very little justification for keeping Howe now, in my opinion. His reluctance to accept Plan A isn't working, the players not buying in to his tactics, or players he's bought unable to execute his rigid style, in-game management non-existent. All that on top of eye test and points tally...

Good to hear, matey. Take care.

Good point!

Fuck it, let Graeme Jones take over while we sound out potential managers and their vision/player targets. If we wait until close of season it'll hinder the transfer window. Time for PIF to be bold.

Any fresh whispers on the stadium? The club could do with a bit positive PR at the minute so I expect nowt is close or they would've gave Hope a nudge.

Banging on about time on the training pitch yet nowt has changed after the shocking results pre-break. Same old shite. Easy decision for PIF at this point.

Mango just put up a vid of this lad. He looks capable enough to me. Get it done early NUFC.

If we are going to spunk big money on an established dmf from Italy, I'd prefer Koné. Though hopefully we are aiming at getting someone on the cusp of breaking out, thus saving ££££.

Bruno or Tonali to Real is totally acceptable. As is Gordon to Liverpool. And Wissa to absolutely anywhere.
