I have been sitting on this character artwork by @selinafenech.bsky.social for so long!! The Royal Dragons of Alaska was my first series as Elva Birch and I love this alternate Alaska so much. Cool fact: I came up with the book covers before I had even a whiff of a plot.

I feel bad expressing this sentiment because I'm lucky enough to have supportive parents. But I consider them as a safety net for bigger issues. On a day to day basis, I have nobody but myself to get work done, to rely on, to show myself any care. I'm sure a lot of single working mums can relate.
I was doing that a bit too but wasn't keeping up with it regularly. So many good YouTube videos though! I like Emi Wong.
I've been thinking a lot about that bumper sticker which says "everything looks like a conspiracy theory when you don't understand how anything works" and folks it's pretty obvious to me that the people in power right now have absolutely no desire to understand how anything works.
My trainer complimented how strong I am and I'm feeling all happy now ☺️ I'm starting to understand why people like this gym thing.

A local woman started a women's only strength gym in her garage and me, having never done "gym" before, figured it would be my best chance to start. And not just me Lotsa newbies working hard. I'm loving the vision of all the mums in our town becoming strong badasses together.
