One thing that’s pretty jarring is that only a couple of people spoke to support the bill and many opponents were clearly organized by M4L, DIAG and LGB alliance. It’s not a great ratio and it’s clear which side got the word out.

It’s definitely scary that the administration has been actively pursuing all sorts of medical records but I think the takeaway is that there are steps being taken to block that and they could make a significant difference.
