Question about the scope of this. It asks how many usernames you use. Is this just about social media usernames? When I sign in to something like an online bank account, it uses username and password, and I use a different username for that. Would you want that counted here?

Hey everyone, I need some help. If possible, please share this.
Running therun dot gee gee has been an amazing passion project for 4 years. It’s always been 100% free, ad-free, and I never sell your data. I love building new features for this community and I have so many more ideas to grow the site
Nearly half of these 100 are from games that were translated into English, btw, and a full half of the top 10 entries were written by translators. Sadly, some of them, like Suikoden 2, Yakuza 0, and Metal Gear Solid 4, blanket credit translation companies instead of listing names of individuals.
Okay so you might see this video with the audio muted. Now imagine how the music must sound like. I urge you to unmute and listen to what it's actually like because I guarantee you you're not prepared for it.

I love looking up an album because I know exactly one song by the artist, and learning that the entire album is great
Most recently it's been Pieces of a Man by Gil Scott-Heron, the album with "Revolution Will Not Be Televised"

VERY IMPORTANT!!! most translators - at least that i know of - really don't like working with MTL, me being one of them
it's simply faster, higher-quality, and much less cumbersome to TL from scratch, especially if you know the source text well (which you almost always do with fan translation!)
CLAFOUTI, a clafoutis (clafouti) [n CLAFOUTIS]
very possibly the least useful definition in nwl?

I'm inclined to think I should have known more going in to better appreciate the story being told for what it is
But also, a lot of my favorite movie experiences involved going into a movie without knowing anything!
We have no way to tell which movies would benefit from knowing more first or not
And this didn't spoil the movie for me or anything, although I think the question of why believing a story actually happened can affect your viewing of it so heavily is interesting too, but it made me wonder if I should have looked up more about the movie beforehand to have known more while watching
The context for asking is, I saw Marty Supreme last night (it was fun, I recommend it), and I came out thinking it was the best biopic I'd ever seen
And only later did I learn, it is not a biopic! It is *very* loosely based on a real person, but the events of the movie are entirely fictional
Question for movie-goers / movie-watchers I know
How much do you usually learn about a movie before watching it?
I assume most people at least see a trailer or some kind of marketing material, and don't go in *completely* blind
But does anyone look up more about the movie first?

The Tower of Druaga (Arcade)
Courageous Perseus (PC-88)
Dragon Slayer (PC-88)
Hydlide (PC-88)
While we're celebrating Zelda's 40th, I want to give some love to some of the foundational action adventure games that predated it. Hydlide, in particular, deserves more respect outside of Japan for what it did for the genre in '84 (PC88).

It's not the best game on the console but Airblade is short and has a cool vibe

The first game mentioned in this video is one of my favorites, and I loved hearing it talked about this way
I kept waiting for the usual complaints reviewers have for the game, and instead was met with a reviewer who is patient and actually tries to understand the games they review
