Comedy is a subgenre in pretty much everything I write, so Horror Comedy is a favorite. Especially when tropes are used to great effect to subvert expectations.

Cabin in the Woods, Tucker & Dale vs. Evil, Zombieland, and Freaky come to mind.

As for horror movies, The Shining tops the list, and Resident Evil 4 has been my gold standard for Horror Games for over a decade.

Honestly, I'm not the biggest horror book guy! I lean more sci-fi and fantasy, - which is what all of my books so far have been. But I think the idea for my latest WIP lends itself to horror (and comedy), so it wouldn't work any other way.

Everything I write is comedy because I can't take anything seriously.

It's a horror movie from the point of view of the husband whose wife is leaving him for a Bee.

But I guess B is for Boo because it's horror.

Excited to join you, too! This is also my first horror novel, and, honestly, likely to be my last. But I'm enjoying the process.

I read the whole story without realizing it was one of yours, until I got to the bit about The Punisher smiling, and then it hit me all at once.
