You should write a how-to blog post about cat fur grooming, they're so fluffy☁️

So cute! He's a bit similar to mine

I think it might be valuable for many people, not just for me💯
Sounds very interesting!
Are you familiar with any written references or examples, or is it just word of mouth?
It's Creative Commons so no problem😅

That's Billy - if it fits, I sits😸
That's the whole point! That's how you get the cool pocket inside it
IndieVisual is a PERFECT name 💯
You're awesome 😎
I used your advice and so far it's perfect 💯
Thanks!
Cool, thanks!
It gets a bit overwhelming with all of the different possibilities, so I figured it's better to ask. I just started to use the Claude Code VS Code extension, and maybe I'll move to the terminal.
I guess it's worthwhile for posit to demonstrate the specific suggested workflow🙏
Actually I just watched a few hours ago your DS Lab with @ivelasq3.bsky.social on git in Positron and it was EXTREMELY accessible, relevant and motivated me to move more of my GitHub workflow to the IDE. 100/100 empathy score.
So i was wondering maybe you have similar takes on Claude Code
Usually not very large either small-to-medium R packages, basic shiny apps, or data analysis projects with data, quarto documents and delivarbles. How do you think this fares with Claude Code?
Regarding the terminal setup, it's basically using the Positron terminal to run Claude Code?
Great resources by @simonpcouch.com on Claude Code + R:

@juliasilge.com @libbyheeren.bsky.social l — would love to hear Posit's take on this!
#positron #ClaudeCode #datascience
Claude Code (CLI/web) gives me excellent results for dev work at a fraction of the cost. But I want to stay in Positron — it's where my data science work lives.
Is anyone running Claude Code from Positron's terminal and getting the best of both worlds? I'd love to hear your setup!
Question for the #rstats and @posit.co community:
What is the best workflow for using Claude Code inside Positron?
I love Positron for R package dev, Shiny dashboards, and everyday data analysis. I tried Positron Assistant with the Claude API — great but too expensive for daily use.

Thanks for jumping in Wes🙏
That's a good point and worth mentioning.
Now I feel less left behind 😅
Between data science and software development, where do you place R (or python, for that matter) package development regarding Positron or Claude Code?
Thanks Julia!
I was wondering if you guys would consider writing something about the relevance of Positron in the age of Claude Code.
It's a question I dabble with myself, and since hearing @wesmckinney.com saying he barely uses Positron and almost only Claude Code, I was wondering about it.
Thanks!
Subtract 30, divide by 2 is a decent approximation to converting from degrees Farenheit to degrees Celsius across ambient temperatures.
I'm not gonna touch most of this but two things:
1. The apprenticeship model of science was never supposed to be about the PI's workflow. The point isn't to have research assistants to help to publish stuff faster. Training the next generation researcher *is* the point. Because we care. Allegedly.
I rounded up a few Claude Skills for #RStats users.
Huge thanks to the creators who developed them. They share Skills for everything from tidyverse code to brand.yml files to learning while using AI.
Hope the list is useful, and please let me know what I missed! 🧡

At first I thought it was a package meant to use the `setwd()` function and I feared @jennybryan.bsky.social would come and set your computer on fire🔥
Crystal you are the dictionary definition of data best practices 💯
